Waynebrook Inn

Bit run down but decent for the price. Worse continental breakfast I've ever seen. Staff was limited but okay.

It was close to what we wanted to visit.

A little heavy on the carpet powder in our room.

We had ocassion to visit Honey Brook PA, we use to live there. We decided to stay at the "historic" Waynebrook Inn located in the center of town. A general evaluation of our room would be "tired". The room was a good size with a king bed. However there were numerous places where the wall paper was peeling, primarily at the seams. The furniture good use some simple TLC such as a scratch cover polish. Finally regarding the room in the bath room was the lowest toilet I ever experienced, it seems like it would be great for a school kindergarten restroom. We did not eat in the restaurant but did visit the lounge area which I thought was really fine, long bar counter with numerous stools (I did not count them but it seemed like 20-30) While we did not eat there we did review the menu, prices seemed reasonable and the dining area appeared to be comfortable.

Nothing

The beds were so hard. Elevators are broken. Place was not clean and it smelled bad. You could hear everything from the other rooms, walls are so thin. There was a gap around the door so big, the hall light lights up the room.

There was only a half of a roll of toliet paper in bathroom with no extra rolls. No wash cloths. Had to carry luggage up two flights of stairs which wasn't ideall as I have back issues. But other then that the hotel was great.

Working ac. The beds were comfortable. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

The overall cleanliness of the hotel was unacceptable. There were broken floor tiles in the bathroom of the room we stayed in. We were stepping on little broken pieces. The ceiling vents were covered in dust. The carpets need shampooed or replaced. There was a musty smell that made it difficult to breathe. We had to run a fan at night to help with that. The window blinds didn't work properly. The comedy show, although free, was NOT funny! It was full of vulgarity and offensive language. The host was loudly laughing to try to draw humor from the audience. It was annoying. We had ordered food, so we stayed until we got it, and ate very quickly so we could leave ASAP!

The staff was wonderful. Could use a little more attention to details in rooms. Had to request a hair dryer. Had to go to the 2nd floor to get coffee. No hooks for towels. No counter space for toiletries. Small things but kind of inconvenient. Would stay there again though. Very clean and the staff was great!

Staff were great & helpful. Received a call that elevator was out of order, but not before I had already left home. So getting another hotel wasn’t an option because of weekend. Used back steps to take luggage up 4 floors. Ugh! I didn’t feel the room I had was clean. I accidentally spilled water on my slippers & had to go barefoot & my feet were so dirty from the rug. I had to wash before going to sleep. I’m home now & even the things in my suitcase I felt I had to wash. Ceiling has numerous water stains. Refrigerator didn’t work. Breakfast was poor. Not much variety & purchase from Walmart. Containers for water, juices & milk weren’t clean. I wouldn’t stay here again.
