Meliá Orlando Celebration

This hotel does not have smart TVs! So you can’t watch Netflix or any other streaming service unless you bring a fire stick (or similar) and a cable. It has been years since I’ve been in a hotel that doesn’t have smart TVs. We had to call maintenance twice to fix our air conditioning system. They did respond quickly, so that was a positive. We had a two bedroom suite, the rooms were a good size. Beds OK, sofabed in living area not good. Hotel is in a great location to visit downtown celebration. There are also several restaurants you can walk to from the hotel.

The photos make this place look like a resort however upon arrival, there is no valet, they don’t help take your luggage to the room, the pool area is like a college spring break, the room was awful, furniture was chipped and scratched and looked like it was from goodwill. The bathroom shower had stains and after I saw that I left and found another place to stay.

We had a great experience at Meliá Celebration Orlando and would definitely recommend it. We arrived after a disappointing stay at the Hard Rock Hotel, and from the very first moment everything changed. The welcome we received from Andrea at the front desk made us feel at home right away, she was warm, attentive, and truly set the tone for the rest of our stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the daily housekeeping was excellent. The pool area is another highlight: it has long opening hours, never felt overcrowded, and there’s even a basketball hoop, which was a big hit with the kids.

If I had to mention a downside, it would be the breakfast service and how the vouchers are managed. For example, they sometimes ran out of fruit, and when we asked for alternatives like cereal or whatever fruit was available, we were repeatedly reminded that there would be extra charges. It felt like there was a constant focus on additional costs, which is something you wouldn’t typically experience in a European hotel of this standard. That said, aside from this point, everything else was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.

My original room had the option of an adjoining room which I did not use but because there was no wall between the rooms it was very loud and I could hear entire conversations and the TV and babies crying etc from the room next door. Luckily, you staff was able to move me to another room on my second night there. I wish the original room was quieter but the second room was awesome and I wish I had been moved sooner. I greatly appreciate that staff's assistance in accommodating my needs for a quieter room.

I really liked how close it was to all the Disney parks and the pool area was very nice.

I can’t speak on all of the staff as I was attended well at the restaurant, The Wilson, but the concierge at the front desk was not very welcoming when I walked in to the hotel.
