Bush Hotel

The room was excellent, though far too big for my needs! i booked a single room, and only paid for that, but there was room for 4 people in my room. I didn't choose to have breakfast as it was being provided at my work meeting. the location was lovely to get a central point in Carrick on Shannon though quite a walk from our meeting in Carrick on Shannon Business Park. The weather was terrific, though, so didn't mind walking!

There was a mix up with my booking. I had booked online, and was obliged to find best value for money as I was travelling for work. I had originally booked at a higher price and cancelled it , but when I was checking in at the hotel, the lovely gentleman at reception advised there were two rooms booked in my name. I was worried that I might be charged for both, and he assured me that he would call the booking agent to sort this out. I was only charged the lower rate so thank you to him, and I am sorry that I didn't get his name.

This is an old hotel with lots of character. A veritable warren of stairs and original features. History abounds as can be seen by all the old advertisements and memorabilia. All of the staff were extremely helpful and gave a good Irish welcome. The room we has was very spacious and comfortable

Really friendly and helpful staff, especially Lennon! I loved the history of the hotel ' nearly 300 years old! Very comfortable bed and an excellent location. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I was able to hear noises from other rooms, especially Saturday night the guests in nearby rooms seemed very drunk and made lots of noises in the hallway.

Not worth the price at all..... No wonder staycations aren't popular vs sun holidays. Room very dark with little natural lighting, a bit hot even with the rad off and the window left open Fixed showerhead tired mattress no rear entrance really in use - annoying if you are coming from the car park side to have go to the front of the building and then to the back where you room is - going forward to go backwards

Few breakfast choice, the restaurant was not good, the parking slots were far away.
