Bush Hotel

Room 51 was spacious and clean. In town centre great location. Staff very pleasant. Parking was great. Its an old hotel which i like lots of character.

The only issue we had was the light over the mirror in the bathroom was not working and the scerting boards were in need of a bit of paint.

Top two WORST hotel experiences of my life!

Had to wait at check in as a Client was complaining about her stay for quite sometime. Advised that we could use the hotels EV charger, so went and moved my car to EV point. Discovered it needed a card from the hotel to activate ~ the only one they could find was bent and wouldn’t work, with the only other card off-site which they couldn’t [or wouldn’t] obtain. EV was a factor when choosing this hotel. Room a little old fashioned and pretty soulless - in fact so was the rest of the hotel; Restaurant empty, fortunately we had booked dinner at The Oarsman around the corner [which we would recommend]. The Bush Bar didn’t open. Difficult to understand how it has such a good TA rating and certainly not our understanding of a boutique hotel. Not a hotel that we would return to.

Staff very pleasant especially Liam and Lennon. Upgraded to a suite which was gorgeous ! However the restaurant shuts at 8pm...bit early ! the menu at breakfast does not mention that they can do just toast if wanted. Coffee very expensive as is breakfast at 16.50 euros. Evening menu very basic. There are however lots of great eating places just steps away.A very comfortable hotel to stay at...just not to eat !
