Protea Hotel by Marriott Franschhoek

Location is excellent. 5 mins easy walk to the famous tram station and nicely located in the town to go shopping. Supermarket close by too. A good breakfast and a tasty offering in the restaurant too. I loved the layout off rhe rooms overlooking the pool area. So relaxed.to sit outside your door looking down on at the poo area, looked even better at night time. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Not a negative but just so you know. They don't have a gym on site. They have a deal with the local gym about 5 min walk away. Well equipped gym. But street lighting walking back at night is not the greatest.

O Hotel é charmoso, bonito e com desing que gostamos muito, limpo, aconchagante, com bom gosto na decoração. A cama bem confortável, assum como um bom chuveiro. O quarto é amplo com vista para um belo patio com piscina, Café da manhã bom com boas opções. O restaurante oferece um menu variado. E é bem proximo do Wine Tram Hop-on Hop-off. Tivemos uma estadia excelente , valeu a pena.

This place was just awesome. Location to the tram. Evening walk around the beautiful small town. The set breakfast menu awesomely prepared. Linen, clean rooms. Wonderful staff. I loved it there and I'll definitely visit again.

Traffic noise on the main road. No prompting to book for dinner, no recommendations either.

Great spot, location, room, bar, restaurant , pool all fantastic & lovely staff in all departments. The lads in the bar were particulary great fun.

A LONGER STAY!

the hotel is located in the heart of Franschhoek's historical village, with mountain backdrops which adds to the experience of being in the winelands. trust me when i say this will not be last time I'll stay at this Hotel - from the artwork ,the rooms were stylish, comfortable and spotless, the pool area (just wooww). They also have Hussar Grill which is their on site restaurant, i ordered the sirloin on the bone as room service and asked if they could make me an off menu side dish and i must say they executed!! The breakfast buffet was beautifully presented ,fresh and i honestly didn't even know where to start (i felt like a kid in a candy shop). Great location, well maintained rooms, warm service and friendly staff that go above and beyond. Special shout out to Regina, Joseph and Hilzey who made my stay very memorable!!!
