Spark by Hilton Wichita East

Overall, this was a decent stay. The room was an average size and had a microwave and mini fridge, which was convenient. One thing missing was a coffee maker and ice tray, which is something I usually expect at most hotels. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was quite small, and the sink being located outside the bathroom wasn’t my favorite layout. I stayed on the bottom floor in Room 109, so I didn’t feel comfortable opening the window since people walking by could easily see inside. If privacy is important to you, you may want to request a room on a higher floor. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The lobby is small, but the hotel is in a great location close to restaurants, stores, and the mall.

Rooms and bed were very comfortable, from mattress to pillows. Very clean and comfortable facilities.

Was very unhappy with the pet fee. We have a well trained , non shedding, cockapoo and felt that your pet fee far exceeded what other hotels charge. We were very unhappy about that charge.

This is a fairly recently renovated/remodeled establishment that is clean, modern, comfy, & affordable. Hopefully the management will prioritize keeping it that way as it gets older. Right now I highly recommend it for a reasonably priced stay. It is conveniently located directly off Kellogg so traffic noise is a little more apparent than somewhere more off the beaten path. The breakfast is good for what it is. Some of the hot & heartier choices at higher priced hotels like eggs & sausage are not offered but it’s a decent selection of yogurt, cereal, fruit, muffins, etc., for those who are satisfied with a more minimal breakfast & it offsets the cheaper price point at Spark. The coffee is good & the yogurt is great! Customer service should be commended as well. Terrie at the front desk is very polite & hospitable. I only marked one star off due to a hot water issue our first morning. But in fairness, there was a large group of young athletes staying there, so maybe there was just too much hot water being used in a shorter amount of time for it to keep up. It was fine the next day.

Great Location and the staff here really do a great job ensuring the stay is perfect.

Hotel was conveniently off highway 54. Front desk attendant was very friendly. We were able to request a room on the back side which was decently quiet in terms of street noise. Hotel and room were very clean and bed was very comfortable. I love that Spark and Tru hotels don’t have carpet in the rooms from a cleanliness perspective. Fit our needs perfectly as we passed through Wichita…clean, comfortable, inexpensive, easy in and out.

Terrie, probably the most friendly and helpful person I’ve met in Kansas, made checking in seamless. Will be back to the spark next time I’m in town!
