Peppers Gallery Hotel

Everything Canberra was walkable, from the New Parliament House to National Museum to Floriade, to the city precinct…excellent location. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, the breakfast team, bright and welcoming in the morning… Overall a positive experience and will return

The staff in the hotel were extremely friendly, helpful and obliging. However, the hotel is very tired. Having room service only after 4 day stay, is ridiculous. Aircon not really working & windows painted shut. This is Peppers, not a youth hostel.

Location and heritage feel Of it. And it was quiet! Except for the air con - that was loud so we turned it off to sleep.

Loud air con. Tv didn’t work - even after staff checked it. Apparently it just happens with some of them.

The staff were fabulous

Very old, tap in bathroom was loose, door on bathroom was magnetic and very loud when closing. Room styling requires updating. Parking was $40 a night, not even on premises. The drop off /pick by up area allowed parking which made the semi circle very hard to use.

Location was close to attractions but parking was difficult

Room was small, shower screen was missing, bed head was damaged foam, the room was not serviced

Bed was comfortbale, interior requires repairs such as bed head etc

Interior of room, bathroom toiler seat was not clean

Strange hotel. Car parking is under a separate building requiring access through boom gates, then garage door, then out through 3 security doors and walk through a courtyard and another security door to enter Peppers. Parts of the hotel need refurb. Our headboard was synthetic leather which is crumbling after years of wear. Cleanliness in the restaurant not the best, a piece of cabooses spent 3 days on the floor and was still there when we left. Photo attached. No chef on our final day for breakfast but we did receive a refund after having to request same. Good location. Staff are very good. Will try other hotels next time.
