Hotel Chiusarelli

We received a very warm welcome on arrival and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was good and in a lovely calm setting. The location is great for strolling round Siena and close to the bus station if you want to use Siena as a base. Our room and bathroom were excellent and there were nice quiet areas to rest or read. Really enjoyed this hotel.

It is a classic hotel with great staff. Very clean and very comfortable. No elevator is a drawback.

I enjoyed my stay there. It’s right on a major street so car noise is an issue. But there was also an Eurasian Blackbird that sang ever morning so that helped.

Wonderful hotel..beautiful and the restaurant was amazing. Close to attractions and wasily walkable.

Went to Siena on a last minute trip and chose the Hotel Chiusarelli due to its location. It is near the bus station and has a football ground to the rear, we thought it would be fairly quiet with an occasional football match. However, we were surprised at the building work going on at the stadium, this started early in the morning and woke us up. At night we had the noise from the Lunna Park carnival, with the loud speakers rumbling away to midnight. Whilst I don't expect perfect peace in a city it was noisy. Currently there is activity in the football stadium where they are erecting scaffolding for a concert, presumably for this weekend. You may wish to consider if this would suit you. The hotel its self is OK, nothing special, but adequate. The rooms are quite spacious, we had a triple. The beds are firm, perhaps a mattress topper would make them more comfortable, the pillows I found lumpy and not very comfortable. The shower is powerful with endless hot water. Breakfast is totally self-service, again nothing special. They cordon off areas, not sure why, but sometimes you then have to sit at a larger table set for four or more, a bit weird. We did not try the restaurant, as breakfast service put us off. I think this worked to our benefit, as we had some excellent meals out.

We did not sleep there, went up the street just kept the room for the parking.

Great hotel for a visit to Siena.

Very pleasant hotel in a great location on the edge of the old town. Several rooms have traditional balconies.
