Pine Lake Resort

I love staying here- a respite from long journeys. Space to breathe and relax, whether chilling in the sauna (???) or an evening stroll around the lake watching the swans, geese and ducks. And just a short drive in to Lancaster or the lakes.

We had a wonderful stay but it was spoiled by a man getting changed in the women’s changing room (at the Spa). I thought that would be a safe place. When I complained I was told to like it or lump it. I was sad to hear the man had dementia and had been brought into the changing rooms by his daughter. It must be very difficult for the family. However I think the resort should either insist he is accompanied by a man or they close the changing rooms for a short time to let him get changed.

A brilliant find for me who visits for work. Superb space, inside and out

Love this place to bits, friendly staff, picturesque, clean, excellent accommodation and plenty of things to do nearby. The food is great and the kid friendly bar/ entertainment area is top notch.

We have just spent the past 7 days at this magnificent resort, if I could give 100 stars I would, we were allocated a lovely 2 bed lodge on the side of the lake and made friends with the water birds 🥰 - everything in the lodge was perfect, a true home from home. I would like special mentions for Vicky , who kept in touch by text to ensure everything was perfect for us and the lady in the reception in the leisure centre, who accommodated my needs. My only negative comment was in the restaurant the lighting was too bright and did not seem to have the ambiance, so we had to request a table on the side that did not have the bright light on, but that is just my personal opinion. The food was terrific and lots of it, My Husband lived the ribs, complements to the 👩‍🍳l We really did enjoy Mandy the entertainer on the Saturday night, she was fantastic and got the audience joining in. My husband had a go in a Kayak, which belongs to a different company, but they use the lake, he thoughtfully enjoyed himself. We would spend the morning watching the waterskiing. All in all we had a marvellous time, so much so we have already booked a week for next June 🥰

I had the most wonderful 2-night stay at Pine Lake Resort, and I can’t recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and relaxed. The setting is absolutely breathtaking – the lake views are serene, and the grounds are beautifully maintained, creating the perfect escape from everyday life. My accommodation was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. The bed was so cozy, and I slept incredibly well both nights. I also appreciated the little details that made the stay extra special – from the warm hospitality of the staff to the amenities that made everything feel effortless. What stood out most was how peaceful and restorative the atmosphere was. Whether I was enjoying a walk by the lake, relaxing in the resort facilities, or simply sitting with a coffee and taking in the scenery, I felt completely recharged. The staff were friendly, attentive. Overall, Pine Lake Resort is a gem. My only regret is that they don’t allow pets. I’m already looking forward to arranging my next visit.

We frequent Pine Lakes every year with the family, including our 4 children. Every year has been great until the latest. The log cabin was smaller in comparison to others, considering there was 6 of us, you would think we would receive a larger cabin. We had requested a lake side view, but was ignored. The log cabin that we were allocated, was within the cabins where the locals stay and own, so we had to make sure we didnt disturb them in any way out of respect. The television weirdly came on 2 - 3 times through the night, every night. when the kids were alseep on the lounge camp bed, disturbing everyone. The bathroom did not have a bath, every other year we had a bath, so our small children could get a bath, this cabin did not, even though they knew we had small children with us. I went to reception to see if we could be moved to a cabin with a bath, the lady asked me 'Did I request a bath when I booked'? I couldnt believe this question, as its not something you think of, anyway I had requested a cabin on the lake and that was ignored so requesting a bath would have been ignored too. I have since complained to the relevant people at Pine Lakes, Jeffrey and a woman called Lucy Talbot Clegg, who have palmed me off and have since been ignoring my emails completely. To which I have escalated this matter further. The customer service is shocking, so be very careful when you book. The only saving grace is the pool and the staff there. Very polite and a pleasure to interact with.
