"Nice quiet break"

10.0

Lovely place if you want a quiet break away. Beautiful grounds with lovely views. They’re currently doing refurbishments in the main building. We stayed in one of the log cabins. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, spacious for 4 people. The bar and restaurant have just reopened; we didn’t eat there but the bar staff were lovely. Reception staff pleasant and helpful. We used the pool, sauna etc, very clean and quiet while we were there. Reception can arrange for you to have beauty treatments, massages etc too if you ask for details. There’s nothing within walking distance, so you need a car. We did try taxis but it makes it an expensive night out if you just want to pop to Barton Marina (lovely place, nice pub, a few restaurants and even a cinema). Be warned! Twice we ordered an Uber and they got lost both times, going to the wrong entrance. One refused to go round back to A38 and cancelled on us and the other one took such a long route, we had no idea where we were and ended up at the locked gate. He did turn round but then I found out he’d doubled the fare!) There’s a local taxis are better. There’s a croquet lawn, crazy golf, tennis courts and even a 9 hole golf course. We were told we could hire clubs if we wanted to have ago. We went to the Two Pigs Inn not far away which was very nice with a modern menu that changes regularly. It’s not a place to go for your usual pub grub though. Lichfield isn’t too far away, and it’s a nice town with plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and a lovely cathedral which is worth a visit. PS take care on the driveway up to the hall, there are a couple of high speed bumps which can take you by surprise!! We scraped our car the first time we drove up there and we weren’t going very fast!! All in all a lovely place for a short break.

Spacious, clean and comfortable log cabin. Kids loved all the activities that were included. Wish we stayed for longer as we only had time to try the swimming pool, playground and table tennis

"Safest place in the Midlands"

10.0

If you’re a contractor like myself then staying away with a van can be stressful as you are constantly worrying about tools and van security. You can stay at Wychnor Manor for the similar cost to a hotel. You’ll get a whole apartment to your self with fully fitted kitchen. It’s like having your own flat away from home. The bar has recently reopened and I’m told a restaurant is coming soon. Also an indoor swimming pool on site. You could of course cook your own meals Down the end of a 2 mile private drive it’s got to be the safest place I’ve stayed. Love going there.

"A Relaxing Stay"

10.0

We stayed at Wychnor for two nights at the beginning of February, in a one bedroom apartment on the first floor of the main building. The room was absolutely huge and had everything we needed for a short self-catering break. Although there is no longer a restaurant/dining room on site, there is a small shop area where you can buy basic essentials including both fresh and frozen food items, to prepare in your own room. As part of our stay, we had free access to the leisure facilities, and enjoyed the pool, spa, sauna and steam room. The location is a little isolated, so if you are looking for a nice quiet break, this could be the perfect spot for you.

"Wychnr Park Country Club"

10.0

An excellent place to stay in beautiful surroundings. The apartments have all you could want or expect for self catering. The staff are friendly and helpful and are always available to assist you. The only drawback is having to go north up the A38 even if you want to travel south due to the busy dual carriageway at the exit of a long driveway. However this is only a minor inconvenience.

"Spring break"

The facilities were great. Location is good it worked well for a quite stay to see the Peak District, Derby and Birmingham. The resort however wasn't too easy to locate. When we called the receptionist, we were aparently a few yards away but despite telling the receptionist what we could see around us she managed to redirect us in the wrong direction. Staff should at least know the bearings for their resort
