Wychnor Park Country Club

Overall we enjoyed our stay at this resort. As the title says, nice location and helpful staff. The apartment was a tad 'worn' and old fashioned but still comfortable. It is a bit of a faff getting onto the main road and the traffic light system can test your patience. The so called gym was the biggest let down. It is the smallest I have ever had to use. It was crowded with just two people trying to use the very limited equipment.

Peaceful and stress free. The staff were very helpful and caring (I have a disability). The facilities were first class and we have already booked to return in September.

We have stayed here twice and on both occasions we have been very happy with the accommodation and the friendliness of the staff we have met.

Great place, lovely location and clean accomodation. The place was clean as were facilities. Only downside was it seems lots of big families arrive and literally takeover the pool area etc but not much can be done about that from the club really!

Fantastic weekend, used most of the facilities! We will be back. Rooms in the Main building are amazing...and warm 👍

We love visiting the UK resorts as Hilton members. Wychnor is our closest resort and we have been visiting for years. Unfortunately since Hilton took over we can now only book last minute, as the resorts are offered to the 'paying public' first. So despite paying high yearly maintenance fees we have to wait to see what is 'left over'.

I am incredibly disappointed with my stay at Wychnor Park Resort and feel compelled to share my experience. From the moment I arrived, I encountered multiple issues that made my visit frustrating, uncomfortable, and, most upsettingly, emotionally distressing. Firstly, the cleanliness of the room was well below standard. There was visible dust on surfaces, particularly on the window ledges, and the windows themselves were in poor condition. It was clear that proper maintenance and attention to detail were lacking, which is unacceptable for a resort of this supposed caliber. Secondly, the sleep quality was terrible. The bed was not a proper king-size but instead two single beds pushed together, which made for an uncomfortable and restless night. Sleep is a fundamental part of any hotel stay, and this setup was far from what I expected. However, the worst part of my experience—and the reason I am so upset—is how I was treated during a personal tragedy. I recently lost a family member, and in the midst of my grief, I requested to check out early and receive a refund for my unused night. As a Platinum member of Hotels.com, I have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds achieving that status, and yet my request was coldly refused without an ounce of compassion or understanding. In a moment when I was vulnerable and needed even the smallest bit of kindness, I was met with nothing but rigid, dismissive policies. This experience has left me not only frustrated but genuinely hurt.

We were looking for a couple of nights away to celebrate our son’s 9th birthday (in lieu of a birthday party) and we always struggle to find somewhere economical but also capable of housing our family of 6. When I found Wychnor it ticked all our boxes. Swimming pool, crazy golf, self catering with a proper kitchen - it even had washing machine and tumble dryer which meant very little wshing to do when we got home!! A lot of our time was spent in the leisure centre where our family had fun with an inflatable ball and then with the other inflatables during splash hour. A little feedback - please get locker keys that can be worn in some way. I felt really bad having to ask Lewis on the leisure centre reception desk to keep it for us. The crazy golf was fun and the play area would have been great if it hadn’t been a wet visit. It was fun watching the children’s entertainer for a couple of hours and we came home laden with balloon animals and sweets. The apartment itself is a great size. Three bedrooms upstairs - a double, twin and a single - and a sofabed downstairs which was really easy to hoik out - our som was very happy on it. There was an ensuite as well as a family bathroom which was even better for our larger family although I did miss a downstairs toilet (being picky I know!). I did like the added extra touch of a stair gate at the top of the stairs - not that we needed it but it would be great for a family with toddlers. The kitchen was a good one - yes I know I mentioned it before - but it was. Everything was clean and in working order and well supplied. I particularly liked the eco sheets for the washing machine and dishwasher tablets. My only niggle about the apartment was that the floors were REALLY creaky which made it a little interesting if anyone needed the toilet in the night - especially the eldest son on his sofa bed….it did gives us pre-warning though when our youngest had woken up. We will definitely keep it on our list of places to bear in mind for future mini trips away.

Nothing to fault, all your expectations met. Staff always in contact to ensure you enjoy your break at Wychnor and surrounding area.

The staff were amazing, they were friendly and welcoming. The pool was a lovely touch and my children loved the mini golf. The accommodation was well stocked and very clean, my husband enjoyed the complimentary coffee. The views were beautiful.
