Regent Beach Hotel & Apartments

I had the opportunity to spend a week for two times in this terrific place, nice people, professional service and accueil. The cooking is top quality and high standard facilities at hand. I strongly recommend for vacations as well as business purposes.

Aunque el hotel está bien, las fotos distan bastante de la realidad y, para más inri, la localización es ESPANTOSA: jamás lo recomendaría. NO HACES NADA SIN COCHE y dice que está bien comunicado... ja! Además, la planta de abajo se alquila para fiestas privadas que se extienden en la madrugada y el ruido hace imposible dormir. Y, como ya ha dicho alguien, el trato por parte de recepción es NEFASTO... La playa se supone que es privada (y lo pagas) pero el pueblo entero está en ella.. *Although the hotel is nice, the pictures are far away from reality and, what's more, location is DREADFUL: I would never recommend it. YOU MAKE NOTHING WITHOUT A CAR and they say it is well connected... Furthermore, the lower floor is rented for private parties, which take place all nigth long making impossible to sleep. As it has been said, the treatment given by the receptionist is TERRIBLE... It is supposed to have a private beach (something that you pay) but the whole village is there...

Our one night stay was fine--the rooms were pleasant, the wake up call was on time, and the staff happily made us coffee even at the ungodly hour of 4:30 am! There is free, first-come parking in front of the hotel, and inexpensive paid parking in a garage.

Decent old hotel which is very close to the beach. Air conditioning was fair at best. Staff was great, particularly Francesco, our waiter/busboy for breakfast and dinner - very charming and engaging with all 3 of us. The dinners at the hotel were good, but there isn't much else near the hotel.

Very comfortable room, great bathroom, booked the room from the ferry crossing the straits of Messina! A two minute walk to the beach. Beautiful pool. Dinner served at tables around the pool and delightful jazz (recorded) as the dinner music. We were happy to be here!

Went to check in with younger gentleman who's only interest was his female co worker. He took out passports and asked us to pick them up later. I will fill out your paperwork later. His attitude was a shame because he let down the rest of his team who were great. I gave 5* for location solely based on its proximity to the beach. This brings with it the noise of congregating young beachgoers whose volume rises proportionate to alcohol intake.

We only stayed one night and we were very satisfied. The hotel deserves its 4 star rating. The staff were friendly and efficient. We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel and we were very satisified with the cost and quality of both. Car parking is secure in a garage. We didn't have time to test the pool and the outside lounging area, but the area was well maintained. A good hotel that served us well as a stopover as we prepared to cross to Sicily the next morning.

Nice stay, beautiful facilities, but the neighborhood is a bit dicey, especially in the off season. Staff weren't too keen on helping find a place to eat or with any other request, and other loud guests staying up all night didn't help the situation either. More of a business hotel than a place to relax and enjoy the views...
