Hotel Las Golondrinas

How can lost your loyal guest? We come to this hotel more than 12 years ago every year with friends. Now first time the breakfast is uner any standard and not enough for an adult. A little fruit 8 dkg`s a little cereals and a small portion yogurt. If you want marmalade and bread you need to pray for bread because forget it to put on the table. May be say it’s COVID but last year also was pandemic but breakfast was great. It looks like after 12 years loyalty’s we need to looking other hotel. Thank you.

The hotel said I did not have a reservation did not acomódate at all, I had to speak to Expedia customer service, they provided a different hotel, called one playa del Carmen, the room was small beds full size, no pool even tho on site they adervertizes one, overall bad experience

When we went to check in they told us they had no rooms and couldn't accommodate us even though I had a confirmed booking. They didn't seem to care that we were without a hotel and didn't even cancel the reservation on their end after telling us they had no rooms. I was charged the full amount for a room I didn't even stay in. Very poor service I wouldn't recommend staying here.

This hotel is a lovely, smaller hotel. I loved the styling and the decor created a lovely atmosphere of Mexican charm. The greenery in the courtyard is fabulous. The area around the small pool was relaxing. The king size beds were very large and comfortable. Our room had a coffee maker and small fridge. The location is perfect, close to the beach, the mega and several restaurants but not noisy. I can say enough about the staff and their excellent service, they were very friendly and accommodating. Great internet with no issue in our rooms or the lobby. The satellite tv was not working but that was not the fault of the hotel. We were booked to stay one night but extended our stay 2 days and would stay here again.

WARNING: Strongly advise you to look elsewhere for accommodation or know you cannot expect any help from management if your plans change. During covid this is unacceptable! Management does not reply to emails and is very unhelpful on the phone. I made a booking and needed to cancel. They have kept my money for all 6 nights booked and completely ignored my attempts to contact them.

We had booked a month vacation rental condo unit at Hacienda San Jose in Playa Del Carmen October 2021. On our 2nd day the hydro went out at 4 am, we had no power and no water...(the whole street was out) we waited until the evening before finding an alternative place to stay for the night. We found Las Golondrinas and got a room for the night at a very reasonable rate. Johnathan, the manager on duty that night was friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The first room he showed us the a/c wasn't working properly, no problem, he got us another room right away. We got a good night's sleep and a refreshing shower. The next evening (back at our rental unit) I realized that I had left my prescription eye glasses at Golondrinas, we went back thinking there was no way we would be able to get them back. Johnathan was again on duty, he took us up to the first room we went in and at first is seemed like I would be out of luck as we couldn't see them, then Johnathan spotted them... I was overjoyed and almost in tears to find them... Johnathan was so kind and patient, he is the meaning of the words "customer service" here in Playa Del Carmen. We would recommend Las Golondrinas without hesitation, it's a lovely hotel with lovely people running it...

Basically we just used the hotel to sleep one night to go to xelha and then moved to another resort in the Riviera The location is super great, 3 blocks away from la quinta Avenida, a super market next door, xcaret group stop next door and great tacos across the street The pool area was very cozy The service was excellent, they kept our luggage many hours while we were in xelha

Returned to this hotel on a business trip following our great experience on a family vacation earlier in the year. Same great experience and good value. Room very clean, spacious and pleasant. The two pools are small but charming. Didn't try the breakfast as it wasn't included and there are many great options nearby. It seems like they improved the Internet speed.

I stayed here for 5 days in late August 2021 when I recently moved to Mexico. Staff is really friendly and allowed me to get the best hotel suite of the hotel. bath tub was HUGE. They also compensated me to do a LATE check-out on my last day without extra charges. What a great service!! Hotel is clean, drinking water available and suite room was so beautiful!!! Jonathan really helped us out very well and I want to thank him, his cleaning staff and all others!!

We found this hotel online and didn't regret it. We appreciated the very friendly staff and the 100% cleanliness. We stayed in deluxe rooms on the top floor. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable, AC works well, internet worked great, and the rooms are light. The two little pools were clean and well kept and ideal for cooling off after a long day or sitting aroundf with friends and a beer. The top floor has a nice breeze and plenty of natural light, but I can imagine the rooms on lower floors could be a bit stuffy and dark. The one thing you won't get here is any kind of view. Location is perfect, just a couple of blocks from 5th Avenue, but with parking in case you rent a car as we did. Great Italian food one block away, French patisserie for breakfast in the same block, and the Playa del Carmen market is within easy walking distance for great low cost but delicious Mexican breakfast options from 50 pesos. With all these choices, the hotel breakfast honestly didn't seem attractive so we didn't get around to trying it. Staff were super friendly and helpful. An added bonus is they lend you towels which can be taken out to the beach, centoes etc. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the room but they will lend you kettles on request. Another nice touch was the natural toiletries especially the wonderful chocolate shampoo. I'm looking forward to returning soon.
