Residence Inn Toledo Maumee

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere which I like. I took my son here as a part of his 18th birthday trip. It was a decent's stay. We enjoyed for the most part. I came to check in around 1 pm, it took forever to get checked in. I know check in time is normally 3, however, the front desk agent just seemed all around annoyed stating "I didn't think anyone would check in early today." Other than that, we had a relaxing stay here.

Beautiful accommodations. Friendly and courteous staff.

There was nothing to complain about this venue.

Room was filthy, was not cleaned after the last guest. Tooth paste all over the sinks, bedding thrown everywhere. No housekeeping on staff at the time, so we either had to clean it ourselves or stay elsewhere.

Room was great! Sofa was very old and dirty and pull out sofa provided terrible sleeping conditions even for a child. Otherwise beds in bedrooms were fantastic and super comfy.

We stayed here specifically because it was mothers day weekend and you had a hot tub.... well the hot tub was not working, our tv only worked half the time and the property was dirty. I would ask for a refund, but i have no idea who to talk too... as it seemed everyone who worked there did not care about anything.

If I could give this place no stars, I would! I went here for the second time with an horrible experience and got horrible service! My family came, and a group of teenagers that were unaccompanied by adults and recording us without our permission, were complained about to management, made a joke with manager Jeanne, she laughed it off and acted like she was taking care of our concerns and 3 hours later, they called police and had us removed from the hotel without reimbursement, without any reasonable explanation! The manager(Mike) was a complete jerk to us, culturally insensitive and mind you, we were there to celebrate my mom’s heavenly birthday who passed abruptly from brain cancer! He made sure to let me know that he “fortunately HAS BOTH of his parents! Both of mine have passed and I let him know what we were celebrating, to which he responded that, “ frankly, he didn’t care!” We patronized this hotel after our last horrible experience because I tried to give them another chance! Last time we came, a woman asked my son to get out of the jacuzzi because it was “their turn” when he was only in there for 5 minutes because she was racist and when her child was done swimming, went to complain about us at the front desk! The hotel responded by asking us to leave the pool and I chalked it up as a misunderstanding because of that guest! This place is horribly managed, our last room was run down and absolutely filthy as well! It wasn’t up to par as other Marriott hotels that I’ve been to! To me, they ruined an experience that my family paid for without due cause, caused us emotional damage and we experienced racism once again here and on a day that’s hard for my family!

Late check-in was quick and easy. The room was as expected: clean and functional; not luxurious in any respect. The location was very convenient for us. The kitchen and fridge were nice to have. Bed comfort was just okay, shower pressure not good, and the sofa in the living area needs to be replaced. The biggest annoyance was that the room was not cleaned/serviced over FOUR nights. I get that service is more limited at a Residence Inn, but we received a photocopied notice on day three saying "sorry, we are short staffed" so no service for you! Too bad about the staffing, but that should not be my problem. (The notice seemed to have been photocopied many, many times so the staffing seems like it could be a permanent issue.) Power went off in part of the hotel one night - not sure whether that was the hotel's fault. Overall, it was fine/pretty average. Would I stay there again? Maybe - there are limited other options and not sure that others would be better.

This is a very nice hotel. The staff was very kind and helpful.
