Hilton Garden Inn Winston-Salem/Hanes Mall

Our stay was excellent! I was able to check in early and find a cart right away which made bringing my things to my room smooth. Front desk was very polite and professional. Our room was nice and clean. I would definitely stay again.

Staff was professional and friendly. Beautiful area surrounded by department stores and restaurants. Nice gym to do workout. Enjoyed our stay!

During our recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Winston-Salem, our experience was deeply disappointing, especially as a Silver Hilton Honors member. Evacuating due to Hurricane Milton, we expected the courtesy typically associated with Hilton. Instead, we encountered dismissive and unprofessional treatment, particularly from Manager Rueben and some of the front desk staff. When I called ahead to request that a small grocery bag be stored in the refrigerator due to dietary needs, Rueben dismissed my request, interrupted repeatedly, and even insinuated I was angling for a free night—a baseless and offensive remark given my 10 years of loyalty to Hilton. Although he finally agreed, the experience left a lasting negative impression. Other issues compounded our stay. Housekeeping loudly disrupted the halls each morning, disturbing our sleep and work. Despite notifying the front desk, the issue continued. Additionally, as a Silver Honors member, I requested a late checkout—a standard perk—but Rueben flatly refused without explanation. Frustratingly, housekeeping on our floor didn’t even begin until after 11:00 a.m. The lack of respect and failure to honor my Hilton Honors benefits during an already stressful time left me profoundly disappointed.

Nice hotel. Convenient. Clean.

Arrived mid afternoon. Walked up to front desk. Two people were at desk. Both people were on the phone at same time. Stood at desk for 3-4 min and never acknowledged. Shared digital key didn’t function. Room was average quality but very small and cramped. Parking was adequate. Overall not really impressed with service nor rooms. Definitely not worth the cost. Will look for another facility on next trip.

Location was convenient especially for my reason for travel.

The staff was rude. I requested late check out due to being busy and getting back to the hotel at 4am. The front desk told me to call the front after 7am and tell the new tour. I called they said to try leave as soon as possible. I asked for only 1hr. Dorothy head of housekeeping came into my room about 10:50am she was rude saying you are suppose to be out. I came down at 11:36 am to check out and the charged me a $75. I called and ask for an explanation Manger Ruben was no help he also was rude I requested the GM and he said he wasn't available.
