Hilton Garden Inn Winston-Salem/Hanes Mall

This was a great place to stay!! Will definitely stay here again. Breakfast was not good but everything else was great.

Great location

The room was nice. But whomever that African American manager is that work there, is not fit to run that place! He was very dam rude, and made my Valentine Day so dam HORRIBLE ! 1st they double charged me for the room, then once we started to get ready to go on our date, the manager call me from down my room so he can talk to me. The manager told me, that my friends I was with smelled like weed coming in the door and he was going to call the police and have the the room searched. I told him that was fine if he wanted to do that, But it was none of his business what someone else smell like, we are all adults! And you cannot tell ANYBODY what they can & cannot do as long as they are not on this property doing it! I told him these are my friends and nobody was smoking anything in the room or to be that stupid to do that in a dam hotel! Then the Manger goes on and tell me don't get whipe cream all over the room or he gotta charge me for messing up the room! Like at this point i was confused, uncomfortable and felt like he was treating me like some type of hoodlum with no home training. So It made me & my husband very uncomfortable and felt very unwelcome. But we waited for a officer to come, for no police to EVER showed up. Then he tried to tell us we couldn't come in & out, like this is VALENTINE DAY! Me & my husband was having double dates with friends and trying to enjoying couple events around the area. He gave me a really really bad experience. And that's not all! So the next morning, me and my husband left out around 8am to get breakfast. Well someone enter in our room while we was away. So apparently, they took my ring I had in the bathroom & my prefume! I asked the housekeeper did she go in there, she said no, we don't go in til after checkout. So whomever went in there, left everything else we had there alone, but also left aour front door open! It was clear as day that we was coming back to our room and check out wasn't until 11a. I was pissed by then! So that's not all ya'll! So I had to put a 150$ deposit down I believe it was. You know they kept MY ENTIRE DEPOSIT! And try to say, we was smoking in the room and i damaged some towels with stains! Dont you think the alarms would had went off! And how did I damage some towels up! why are you looking at the towels I used to bath with?!! Isnt that what towels are for! That's all we did with the towels but bath with them! I left that room in spectacular condition! Please never go there! You will get profiled!! They are crazy and my experience was horrible!

Their renovations are complete. Of the places I stayed at this time, this one had the most comfortable bed. I wish they had Reelz TV station. The person who checked me in didn't mention breakfast. They at least used to have breakfast.

Requested a pack n play since the morning of checking in and was told it would be ready at check in. When we arrived at the hotel, without our pack n play for my one year old since the hotel promised one, we were disappointed to hear that front desk didn’t even know they had them, had no idea if they had them. So we are left with no pack n play and a bad night of sleep with a one year old. Not the kind of night I expected.

Great place

Chose this hotel because it was designated by family as lodging for out-of-town participants in a family event. It was conveniently located in proximity to those festivities.

- We arrived prior to designated check-in timeframe, but room was not available until more than an hour and a half after that window start time (3pm). Rooms only serviced every other day, thus it seems that housekeeping may be understaffed. - Unimpressed with breakfast options at the price offered--have eaten better for less at other comparable chain hotels.
