Grand Melanesian Hotel

The place is very good, the staff are friendly, the food in restaurant was delicious made friends with the chef. The location is also good close to the airport and other shopping facilities. Look forward for another visit soon.

Room crawling with cockroachs. Wouldn't chance the so-called kitchen.

The location is perfect, so easy to get around. the staff were friendly and available any time to help you with the anything. The hotel was very very disappointing, no towels in the room , no place to sit by the pool and it looked nothing like the pictures online so it was a shock to realise after what it looked like. the biggest problem was no wifi. I went there for work and needed access to wifi to do my job so it ended up costing a lot more money than expected to gain access to the internet. It was very loud being next to the roadside and it didn't feel super private. There was a very comfortable bed, a fridge in the room which is fantastic in such a hot time of the year to have water chilling ... and there was a bath which is a fantastic extra.

-Conviently located . -There are shops and places to eat which is within a reasonable walking distance from the hotel. -There is enough parking spaces for guests. -nadi town , Mac Donald’s , Burger King and the cinema is 5 mins away from the hotel. - room service is amazing !!! They don’t keep you waiting for too long and respond within 2 mins of you calling the front desk. -The only drawback for this hotel is that it doesn’t have a lift. If it had a lift I would have given a five star rating .Hopefully that would be something that the hotel could include in their future refurbishment plans.

Stay for 1 night on the 24 September 2018 and I am not really appreciated the service started from the reception waiting for 30 to 40 minutes to fix the AC and the room was very dirty general services really bad.Room Security was not secure at Room 318 and look at the pictures from the bath room which is a bad image of hotels in Fiji that promoting where happiness finds you..

Nice place to relax

Stayed 10 days. Friendly staff very helpful. You have to ask them to make up your room 3 days nothing. Then we would have no towels, because it rained??? A bit tired in general. But had a comfortable stay. Good size room. Did not use pool. Not happy one morning 9am ish after late flight mowing lawn noise. But I would stay again .

There were no cups ,no shower towel ...you have to ask again and again, then pick up yourself

The positives: $90 per night, bed was clean The negatives: 1)Told every room had internet accessibility- discovered that was not true. Sold me one dollar blocks of time ( I bought $5) only to find out there was nowhere on the property where there was a Wi-Fi connection. Told I could use desktop by front desk. 2) Room was terrible (see photos) No doorknob,broken bolt lock, shower that rained down on toilet, tiny broken up bathroom, cracked broken doors, old cabinet and takes covered in grey paint, broken remains of headboard hanging off wall 3) Pool table right outside of rooms with local guys drinking and playing pool until the late hours. Could barely hear television over the noise,and could sleep. 4)Pounding on doors, yelling, fighting/arguing, at pool table area at about 3:30 am-4:00 am several mornings in a row

This place, what to say. First of all we arrived with 8 people (2 separate reservations made months in advance) and they could not find either of our reservations and had already given our rooms to someone else. Then they found us 2 rooms and it felt like the rooms were old prison cells. The walls in the washroom were covered in ants, my family had roaches in their room. The place is not well kept and I felt gross even taking my clothes off to change. Would not recommend this place even for a 1 night stay.
