Hampton Inn & Suites Berkshires-Lenox

Breakfast was ok. I have to eat gluten-free, and there were few options. I had to bring my own stuff. The room was large and clean, the bed comfortable

I have stayed at the Hampton Inn many times before. I wish you had left the black-out curtains up! The new shades allow to much light to filter in through the sides. Also, the non-removable nightlight was too bright.

The staff was pleasant, the room was clean. Breakfast was good, and had a nice swim at the pool.

I am a diamond member with the Hilton brand. I stay in way too many Hampton Inns. They range from great to terrible. This is at low end. It’s quite dated. Shower drain was slow. The staff never smiled. It’s funny but true. I know the quality of a Hampton Inn by noticing a few things about breakfast. The great ones have a flower on the table, spray for the waffle griddle, a friendly person tending to the breakfast tables, a last call at 955am because breakfast closes 10am, This sounds crazy and I think funny, but I’m telling you what follows is true. So this one has no flower, they hide the spray (the ones that hide it always put it drawer near the griddle - secret Hampton Inn hack), a breakfast tender who gave me side eye when I used this hack because the people in front of me got waffles that looked like they had been run over by a truck and a door that silently closed at exactly 10. That’s a perfect score. It’s hard to miss all of them. This one did. I’m in the area often. Next time I will try the nearby Garden Inn. If that is as bad as this, I’ll try a nearby Marriott property.

The elevators were not working during our stay. We were notified ahead of time and had an opportunity to cancel the reservation. Despite room being on the second floor, it was not a hardship. The cleanliness of the room, free breakfast and pleasant staff outweighed the inconvenience.

When I made the reservation wanted 2 rooms close but got there and 1 room was on the 2nd floor and other on 3rd did change it to 2 on one floor opposite ends of hallway

Some bathroom fixtures are old and rust stained. A light refresh of some inexpensive items would go a long way to make the place look well maintained. The staff was excellent. Friendly and professional. The breakfast area was clearly well maintained a it was spotless.
