Knights Inn Wabash

Although it was the cheapest hotel in that small town, it shouldn't have been in the condition it was in. One of the lamps in the room did not work. One of the drawer fronts on the dresser was busted. There was only one bath towel and one hand towel in the room. The carpet was a mess and felt sticky underfoot. The rooms do not have card access readers on them, they are still using regular key locks for their doors. The power cord for the air conditioning is out on the floor in front of the unit. The restaurant was closed for business, although this is not noted on the web page for this hotel. And lastly, the topper that was on the bed was so soft, I felt like I would roll off the bed when I laid down. The coffee pot provided in the room did not work. As I said, it was the cheapest in town, but the room should have been way better than that. I get rooms all the time in that price range, and I've never had a room with this many issues.

Room had a bad smell. Bugs in the room and was not very clean. There was blood on the floor in the bathroom.

The tub drain was extremly slow

I sank into the bed. There was no kleenex tissues

My room was clean and everything worked well. It could use updating but then the price would go up. It was decent for the cost.

Upon arrival the check in went well. As I drove around to the parking lot, I noticed a lot of shady characters hanging around. One woman was sitting in a chair outside of her room around 8pm, and was still sitting there at 6am the next morning. It seemed as if there were either prostitutes or drug addicts living at the motel. Wasn't concerned from a safety perspective, but definitely won't stay here again. The room was cleaned between days so at least that was good, and the actual room was fairly clean.

I am 60 and this property is probably older than I am. Have not seen a brass door key with the room number on it in years. Every landing reeks of cigarettes and desperation. No ice machine. My air conditioner was a wall unit sitting on the floor and covered by a piece of plywood for a "top/shelf/desk" Mattress had a distinct sloop on towards the door. No stoppers in the sinks, only a couple of outlets so powerbars were in use around the room. Still it was clean and had a TV, microwave and mini fridge. What ever I paid was too much-first and last time in a Knights Inn.

Overall good stay especially for the price. Easy check-in. Room was ready and clean. Only disappointment was that I wasn’t given to WiFi password and when I called to get it, no one answered at the front desk.

It was nice there. Quiet and a small town. We were sad that we couldnt swim and they forgot to stock t.p. but we got some.
