Mountain Lake Lodge

My first stay with Mountain Lake Lodge was truly by accident, booked in a rush on VT move in weekend. I simply love the place - the warmth of the resort, friendliness of the staff, amenities on the property and proximity to Bald Knob hike. I plan to make this a regular retreat and to see it in all 4 seasons.

Very enjoyable getaway with our senior college student. We hiked here in the Spring, but loved our Winter overnight. Bar was cozy with fireplace. Food and Drinks were great. Perfect suite that had adjoining room for our daughter and her friend. Loved the history of the property and how it's tucked away from everything.

Very nice and cool

Very cool place to stay.

The lodge itself is great, I believe it was built in the early 1900's. Common areas were a little less cleaned than I would have thought they should be. Most things there are a little pricy, but good quality. I am speaking of room price, food, drinks and merchandise. It seems to attract higher income customers. The rooms were very clean and fairly spacious. No tv, microwave or refrigerator in the rooms. We were there for 3 days and enjoyed the stay. It may be livelier in the warmer months as there was little to do in December. Everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas but kind of over advertised for their so-called Christmas Village on the grounds. It is definitely worth going to this lodge as it is the location of the filming of Dirty Dancing.

Old world lodge charm. Great choices for food and drink, Biergarten, Tavern and Harvest. Decorated for the holidays, carriage ride, ice skating, dancing and a magic show. Check for package deals. Quaint shop located by the Biergarten. Prices were reasonable.

We go often in the summer. This was our first time staying overnight in the winter.
