I didn’t like that the result was boring, with nothing much to do besides the restaurants and kids club. Maintance was not good. And i booked a pool view and pool was not working.

Most of the staff were pleasant, especially the breakfast staff.

Anahita is a residential development consisting of privately owned apartments/villas with cars parked directly outside them like a motel. Lacks holiday atmosphere. Not a hotel as such. The reception does not exude luxury and calm; it is a small and uninviting unit. We were given cold flannels and a tasteless green drink upon arrival. The on site beach is small and manmade. The swimming pool is large but extremely cold. The offsite beach (beautiful) on an island is over an hour door to door round trip including walking to the jetty, waiting for the boat, then waiting again for the buggy to take you to the beach. The boat runs every 30 minutes. Last return is 16:00hrs, after that we were informed transport is for golfers only. 16:00hrs is a good time to return... if there is space on the 15 seater boat, we therefore left earlier than we would have liked to ensure seats. Our 3rd floor apartment was spacious with a sea/river mouth view, but the block was located on a muddy grass bank with no direct access into the water, rather than the sandy beach one would expect. I felt instant disappointment and as soon as the check-in staff left the room, my son said he didn't like it. The television was playing a recording of how you can purchase the apartments and rent them out. We both agreed that something was not right and the following morning enquired about a refund due to being miss sold. 3 restaurants. The just about affordable restaurant was closed for a golf dinner the first night and again the 2nd night. The buffet restaurant is £50 a head and doesn't even include a glass of water. There are no menus in the room or online, this means you are at the restaurant before you realise the excessive cost, which is not relative to Mauritius. Breakfast is included and very nice. Restaurant style more four star than five. Minimal items in kitchen. No oven gloves, dishwasher or clothes wash pods. Electricity to fridge and washing machine cut a few times.
