Hassinger Daniels Guest House

The historic house is beautiful. The room, with it's high ceiling, large bed, great natural lighting is fantastic. I was worried about parking, but that was no problem at all. And the area is full of good dining options that you can just walk to. I would highly recommend.

This is actually a nice national registry home, however, the furnishings are from "Rooms to Go". Biker bar down the street has some occasional noise as does the largest Chick-Fil-A next door. I did not get the room I thought I had selected. There is no one on the premises. Has a lot of things going for it as well as against it.

Beautiful architectural details throughout the home, including chandeliers in every room. Loved the wall of stained glass as you walk up the stairs. With the sunlight coming through, a spectacular surprise!! I just expected and wish they had left the antique furniture in the home. It looks like 1950-6o’s furnishings. It was still a wonderful stay and I would come again.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of the other recent reviews of this hotel. When I booked it 6 months ago the reviews were glowing; however, our experience was disappointing. I stayed with two other friends (three separate rooms). At first glance it's an attractive space. There's a wide porch with beautiful flowers, but since there is no seating there no way to enjoy the outdoor space. Inside, the Victorian architecture is balanced by contemporary furnishings. While the upstairs rooms were spacious, the downstairs room (#1) was tiny, with barely space for a bed. There was little airflow so despite having a fan, the room became so uncomfortably hot that my friend had to keep her door open at night. (This was in April. I can't imagine what it would be like in summer). For some reason this room was more expensive than one of the much more spacious (and airy) rooms upstairs. Cleanliness was also a problem. One of the showers had long strands of hair adhering to the wall, and in another room there was a very large dead bug. None of the outlets in my room were close to furniture so the only way to charge my phone was across the room on the floor. The shower in the clawfoot tub was an adventure, because the double shower curtain surrounding the whole tub made climbing in difficult obscured the soap dish and ledge (Where can I put my shampoo?) One wonders if the hotel owners ever spent a night in their own place? There is no human presence at the Inn at all. I've stayed in other B&B's/inns which had self check-in, but there is usually at least a welcome note or email, lists of nearby restaurants or sites, or something of that nature. We didn't even get check-out instructions. The overall impression we had is that the owners don't really care.

The room was on the third floor would have been good to have that information as part of our check in instructions. The towels for the bathroom were very worn and there was no bedside lighting.

This used to be a bed and breakfast. We’ve stayed there many times. Now it’s just a bed with old furniture . We did receive an email about it changing hands and the wouldn’t be breakfast and the period furniture was removed. No credit for no food was offered. We will not be staying there again.

It is a very beautiful old home, in a fairly noisy area. It's supposed to be a "bed and breakfast" but they have dropped the "breakfast" and so the experience is kind of...odd. It is a house full of guests, but no interaction at all. It seems strange and one wonders what would happen in an emergency or some like event.

We loved our weekend at this beautiful property! Well done on the remodel! And so close to great restaurants.
