Driving up the hill to the villa is very hard and potentially very dangerous for inexperienced drivers and international drivers who might not be used to steep hill driving. Hotel should provide and option to not have to drive and get pickup / dropoff on requested times.

Le Duc de Praslin is definitely a lovely place to stay. The owner, Mr Payet, is a very kind person: we stayed at a neighbouring resort and we did not know how to reach his property. He offered to come pick us up for free, which we really appreciated. His vision is clearly visible and recognizable in every part of the resort. He is very present around the facilities and enjoys talking to customers while sharing a drink at the bar. Le Duc is probably the most comprehensive resort on the island: it is thought and designed in the style of European resorts, offering several services to its customers (e.g.: a gym, a spa, more than one restaurant and bar) and with direct access to the beach. Sea-beds are available for free but better arrive early to secure the place. Our family room was super big and well decorated, the kids loved the space and the giant TV screen with lots of channels available. Breakfast and food in general was good, the choice was rather ample and every evening there was a decent turnover in terms of dishes on offer.

Apart from leaving, a very few things: we would have liked more attention to the kids (no beach toys were available to them, for example). It is probably a managerial choice to attract couples rather than families with small children. Bar staff was slow to react and in general bar services could be improved, in our opinion. The bathroom (which was super big) was in kind of different style relative to the rest of the room, it looked not renovated and a bit worn out. I would have loved the place to be less glittering and more nestled within the local culture.

Stunning Beach and Service

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! For the second part of our trip, we were looking for something more authentic and local, and this hotel was exactly what we had hoped for. It has a genuine local atmosphere and charm that made us feel truly connected to the destination. Our room was very spacious and offered a lovely view over the hotel's beautiful tropical garden. The property itself is peaceful, full of character, and incredibly relaxing. The evening buffet was excellent, with an exceptional variety of dishes every night. A very special thank you to Robert, the owner. His dedication to the hotel is remarkable, and what impressed us most was how accessible and genuinely caring he was. He regularly checked in to make sure everything was going well and always made himself available if we needed anything. His passion and personal touch make a real difference. We would also like to thank Hilda at the reception, who was incredibly kind, gentle, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention as well to Ranjith at the bar, who quickly became our favorite bartender thanks to his great energy, friendliness, and fantastic service. And thank you to Stephanie at Café des Arts for her warm hospitality and kindness. The beach is beautiful, spacious, and wonderfully quiet—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning surroundings. A special mention also goes to Café des Arts, which was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. It's a fantastic spot to enjoy delicious food and amazing cocktails right in front of the beach, with a beautiful setting and atmosphere. Overall, we loved the hotel's local vibe, authenticity, and warm hospitality. It was exactly the experience we were looking for. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a genuine Seychellois experience in a beautiful beachfront setting.

Robert und seine Frau ( Owner) sind fabelhafte Gastgeber. Jederzeit präsent und um das Wohl der Gäste vorzüglich bemüht. Die Lage ist grandios mit traumhaften Strand Das Essen abwechslungsreich, sehr fein und ausgewogen. Für Alle ist etwas dabei. Die Zimmer sind sehr geosszügig und sehr sauber. Das Le Duc ist ein Paradies und gerne gehen wir wieder zurück an diesen Ort. Jeder Wunsch wird von den Lippen abgelesen. Lieber Robert und Crew besten Dank.
