Playa Linda Beach Resort

Love this place! My family has been coming every year forever. Maidl is the best! She teaches the water aerobics and announces bingo, she makes it all so fun!!

Aruba is my go-to vacation for 12 years and after trying many places to stay, Playalinda is our go-to venue. Every year the facility adds and enhances amenities. Staff is very welcoming and on point. We do miss Jesse on the beach every morning.

Been coming to this crown jewel for over 20 years. When you take all factors into consideration, the Playa Linda is the place to be. It is that simple. However, was disappointed this year to see that Jesse no longer is in charge of managing the beach, which has well over one hundred palapas or chickees as we call them here. He spent the past few years bringing order and fairness in managing the beach and enforcing the rules. I would also like to compliment the Housekeeping Department for the fine job they do, and a special shout out to Missnelly Rojas who has been our housekeeper for many years and who does a special job making us feel at home at our home away from home.

We go every year and love our Playa Linda experience. Great restaurants, great proximity to the beach. Everything we need is walkable. My kids are teens now, but it truly is a perfect place for small kids and babies. Safe and walkable. At the Playa, we get a gigantic apartment for less than half the cost what we used to pay for two hotel rooms next door. My one complaint is that they moved our favorite guy Jesse. He was security for the pool and beach and did a great job - helped my kids when things were lost, kept a close eye one things to ensure a secure and awesome holiday. We miss him and sincerely hope management brings him back to keep our beach secure!

Fortunate to get to Playa Linda again this past December. As in the past, as nice as the property is, it's the people that really make this a special place. Nice to see Rygell looking after the chickee bookings this time around. Professional, friendly and in control. Can't be easy on him with all that going on. Also a shout out to some of the un-sungs, the guy cleaning the pools in the AM as Oscar was away, the public space cleaners who try to stay invisible, and can't leave out the team that looks after the daily Bingo. Don't think I could stay that nice to people seeing what they need to manage to get through that hour. Other than that, just nice to be greeted as a familiar face by many of the staff and striking up friendships with people from all over. Hope to see you again.

We always have the best time here! The staff is top notch, especially the service from the beach/pool crew who provide chickee sign-ups, chairs, coffee, clean-ups, and a pristine beach and pool. They are helpful with a smile and kind words, especially Rygell Boye. Keep up the excellent work to make our visit a dream come true.

Loving the Playa Linda . When you’re on Vacation who needs the Drama? I have to say the Beach Palapas or Chicki situation has never been better No Hassle .Rygell Boye made our experience better then ever. He went above and beyond from fresh Coffee to getting us Kurt to putting out our lounges he even helped us with our tubes. They are True team members. Thank you Rygell for making us feel Special your hospitality did not go unnoticed.

The resort was performing work in the parking lot and rather than phasing the construction they closed more than 50% of the lot, making parking for visitors very very difficult. They failed to supervise the construction at all, resulting in a broken waterline and believe it or not the entire resort was without water for a day. That means no brushing teeth, no flushing toilets, no showers, etc. What did the resort do to make things easier absolutely nothing. Management sometime during the year decided to destroy a perfectly good bar move it adjacent to the building, put a tent over it, blocking the view of various rooms for no reason whatsoever. There are limited huts to provide shade on the beach, so what did management do? They took three huts and gave them away to a commercial property that rents from them near the beach. The government of Aruba does not allow for fixed facilities for commercial use on the government owned beaches, but apparently management thought it was a good idea to eliminate three places of shade for the guests. the manager of Playa linda was once the head of maintenance and did such a poor job. He was promoted to be the manager and he continues to be incompetent making things not so pleasant for guests.

We miss having Jesse managing the Playa Linda beach area. He's always very helpful and on top of things, always looking out for us.

We always have an amazing experience—it is truly our favorite resort. We are bummed not to see Jessie at the beach. He is, without a doubt, the BEST beach concierge at Playa Linda. Jessie always greets guests with a warm, genuine smile, goes above & beyond to make sure everyone is happy, comfortable, and has everything they need. His positive energy, attentiveness, and dedication truly elevate the entire Playa Linda experience. We miss Jessie and hope to see him back soon, because he genuinely makes a difference. I’m sure we are not the only family who feels this way—Jessie is unforgettable and truly one of a kind
