Hotel Laugarbakki

Our stay at Hotel Laugarbakki was an absolute delight from start to finish! The hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of Iceland’s stunning landscape, offering a peaceful and serene escape. What made this experience even more exceptional, however, was the warm and welcoming staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They were not only attentive and professional but also incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. The food at the hotel was nothing short of amazing. Each meal was a culinary masterpiece, prepared with fresh, local ingredients that truly showcased the flavors of Iceland. From the hearty breakfasts to the mouthwatering dinners, we were consistently impressed by the quality and creativity of the dishes. Hotel Laugarbakki offers the perfect balance of comfort, incredible service, and exceptional food. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Icelandic getaway!

Hot tub was amazing. Service was good. Wifi was very weak, so was cell reception.

Nice hotel and very good location. Our room was really good, nice and clean and a good size. Shame they only offer a cold buffet breakfast as it was very cold when we stayed here outside and it would have been nice to have a hot breakfast inside us before we set off for the day. Breakfast time was very busy with staff rushing around everywhere, not very relaxing. Very pretty little church outside of hotel that was lit during the night. We would stay here again.

Friendly staff, remote location. Rooms are modern and come with tv and kettle. Towels are provided and simple toiletries. Rooms are spacious with work desk area. Toilet is spacious but gets wet since there is only a shower curtain. Restaurant serves standard breakfast buffet but dinner was excellent. Bar has happy hour. There are 3 hot tubs, basketball court and indoor games area.

Good hotel, nice people. Restaurant is expensive, suggest go into town (8 minute drive).

The staff was very helpful and fantastic. The breakfast each morning was wonderful and the dinner in the restaurant was very good. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful.

This was another hotel out in the middle of nowhere. Everything is remote in Iceland! Close to several waterfalls and geothermal springs. Approaching the hotel, it looks very bleak, they need to do a little landscaping on the approach side. But the hotel desk people were the friendliest we'd run into. The room was very nice, larger than others with two easy chairs, so that was nice. Beds were good, linens were good, clean. The restaurant actually had several mid range meals. We had the lamb burgers which were very good. So I recommend eating there. Breakfast was very good with a nice variety of items to choose from.

This hotel seems to very popular among tours and for those touring the ring road as it’s very well located. Clean and big rooms. We didn’t try the supper at hotel Bakki, but we had breakfast. Breakfast is good and there is something for everyone.
