"Nice rooms and staff, though not a great sea-view!"

8.0

We stayed here for 4 nights and were generally happy with the hotel, we were a little disappointed that the hotel isn't directly next to the beach as the picture implies (the building on the main picture with the swimming pool is actually a different hotel) but its a quick walk to the pool and 3 minute walk to the beach (the pool is located overlooking the beach but when we went (over New Year) the tide was in the whole time so you have to go round to the beach another way). We also paid extra to get a sea-view room but could only really see the sea from a distance and it wasn't as close as we expected! But overall the room was really nice and clean, the staff were really polite and friendly, and its not too far a walk to the main bit (nice if you want to stay just outside of the main area).

"Wonderful Stay"

10.0

I was extremely impressed with this hotel - especially the service. We arrived a day early due to a change in travel plans and the staff were so accomdating. They went out of their way to assist us with this as well as many other things. I would certainly recommmend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a well priced, well placed, beautiful hotel with friendly and efficient service.

"average not great"

6.0

I think you can get better value for money elsewhere. the hotel wasn't bad but not of the standard which the uploaded pictures suggest. The pool area is nice but the hotel doesn't have a beach as such. the room was clean and comfortable, staff were helpful. About a 15 minute walk to the main area in Chaweng.

"Nice hotel in a good location for a great price"

8.0

Located at the end of Chaweng Beach, it's only a 5 minute ride from the airport. It's also off the beaten track a bit, so it's very quiet here. The breakfast buffet was just okay. The rooms were a decent size, nice big balcony, however the floor boards were old and had big gaps in between them, so lots of dust and bugs in the room (probably from the sliding door that didn't shut completely). The bathroom had a nice big tub, but would be hard for some people to take a shower, although it did have a shower head that you could remove from the wall. The staff were friendly and helpful. And if you are planning on renting a motorbike, rent from the hotel. Other places on the main road are generally cheaper (but only by 100 baht or so), however, they want your passport and drivers license (and not just photocopies) in exchange for the motorbike, so they'll trust that you'll return it. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a tight budget! It's clean, it's conveniently located near the airport and the beach (the hotel itself didn't have a beach, just stairs that went straight into the water, but this was fine for us and we would just walk to the beach through the water), and close to plenty of good restaurants. Even if there are places you want to go to elsewhere in Samui, it's only an hours drive to get around the entire island.

"Value for money"

6.0

The photos on the website were somewhat misleading, but to be fair, the room was nice (though small), and the hotel is generally quite well appointed. Located right on the beach, the pool is decent and the wait staff friendly. One tip though, you might like to choose one of the newer rooms; we took the superior beach bungalow (which was on offer) and they seemed to be the original properties on which the resort started. The new wing looks much nicer.

"Good"

6.0

Stayed at the resort for 2nights. Overall it was alright with friendly staff. It was a easy walk along the beach to the city center but we were unable to do that in the night as it was too dark. Hygiene was not really good as we ended up with rashes all over, suspect it could be due to the bedsheet. Also the door to the room had a gap and can't be closed properly. If someone was to stand outside the room, they will be able to peep into the room

"Splendid 3-star Hotel !!!"

10.0

Surprisely, I have just had a wonderful night at Samui Island Beach Resort and Hotel in the Superior Bungalow-Room . The price is reasonable, not too cheap but also not that expensive. I could tell that this is one of the best hotel I have ever stay even though the beach is quite narrow. The way they treated me and my wife was so tight-knit that I felt like I was living with a family who have truely known what I aspire. Moreover, the location is pretty good which is not that far from the city, ten-minute walk. I would recommend you guys to rent the motorbike which is not more that 10 USD a day approximately. Seafood out there was really fresh under the clear blue sky that made me feel so soothing, charming. If you have a laptop, you are able to get on the internet at the lobby area for free of charge, otherwise, if you would like to surf on the internet in your room, you will need to pay for it.

"Terrible"

2.0

Terrible, bungalow rooms are very old and dated, bathrooms horrible - definatley over priced. Breakfast - not very nice Reception has no idea what they are doing never seen so many people with problems at the one time before - absolutely hopeless a complete circus. Only stayed one night was the best bit. Finally when we went to leave they sold us an expensive taxi service over a group transfer yet squashed us in a small car with 5 people. Not what we paid for - an absolute joke.

My partner & I totally enjoyed our stay for 2 weeks at the Samui Island Beach Hotel. The staff were exceptional & the nicest people I have ever met. It's not the flashest hotel, but they were the nicest & it was very clean. My Family of 6 also stayed here for 10 nights & really enjoyed there stay. The buffet breakfast was nice, and overall the hotel was a great stay. Will definitely stay here again on our future adventure to Koh Samui. Khob Kun Ka.

"lovely hotel in Samui"

10.0

I recently stayed at the Samui Island Resort for 3 nights. It was lovely. The hotel rooms were quite large and cool. Lovely balcony also. It's in a great spot beachfront and the staff and service could not be better. I would definitely stay again.
