Xijiao Hotel Beijing

I like this hotel because it is very close to the Tsinghua University and the town center.

We booked it for 2 people but we asked if we could pay for extra beds or pay for an additional 2 people to stay in our room but they said no to EVERY single request. Every single other hotel Tht we have stayed at through out our entire trip in China has allowed us with this change. Most of them didn't even charge us. When we asked if we could switch to a bigger room, they said everything was full. ... Full!!?? Are you kidding me?! Their hotel hosted guests during the Beijing 2008 Olympic games, do you know how BIG this hotel is?! It has 6 different separate buildings!! It was SO empty!! We ended up booking a second room and whole the first room was nice, the second one was disgusting and moldy. DISGUSTING and totally not worth the $80.

I was arranged a single bedroom at building #4. The room was dirty and not comfortable. The air conditioning did not work well and wasn't cold enough. The front desk service was terrible at check in. I would definitely not to recommend this hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights in building 2 apartment, room is very dirty and furniture is very old and damaged. Floor blanket is full of big black dots.

Four couples stayed here and 3 were in the newly remodeled areas. The older area needs upgrading. All were very pleased with service and cleanliness. Lots of amenities and good breakfast for Americans in the hotel restaurant. I would stay here again.

If you want a hotel where you can find restaurants, taxis and easy access to the subway, then this is the hotel to stay at while in Beijing. The hotel is also in a section of the city where signage is in Chinese and a English, which is helpful if your Chinese is not very good.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Xijiao as most reviews seemed inconclusive. The complex was unexpectedly large with 4 or 5 hotel buildings, conference facilities, and several restaurants on site. The rooms were clean and well provided and the bathrooms were nice. Not a huge suite by any means, but nice. A reasonable walk to many restaurants and the bustling Wudaokou area where the subway station is. Convenient location for visiting the University district. Excellent value for the money.

Good location and reasonable service. Pretty rough, worn and dirty. Terrible showers.

This hotel doesn't live up to its 4 star rating at all. It is not well maintained. The bathroom is quite dirty and water leaks from the shower onto the floor.

We'll come back again soon.
