"Enjoyable stay, but several pool days ruined by out of control group of boys"

8.0

The hotel was lovely. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful views and 2 min walk from a lovely beach. We really enjoyed the quiet resort of Cala Blanca - some nice little shops to walk to, and on a rainy day, we went to the old capital city on the bus (just outside the hotel). The food was ok. Breakfast was great, but lunch and dinner became very repetitive, very quickly. The snack bar was the same, just food left over from breakfast and lunch. The issue there was a group of English boys which got bigger and louder as the days passed, to the point that the pool felt like an out of control school playground. These lads ruined the pool games run by the entertainment team with their tribal shouting, booing and sexism toward my daughter who wanted to join in the entertainment team games. The parents just sat on the sunbeds whilst their sons were bombing in the pool, running round, screaming and shouting. It was honestly awful for the last 2 days of our holiday. The lifeguards tried to calm them but didn't have any control. I, and others, felt the hotel management should have really warned them and their parents about the behaviour as it was truly awful, and they knew they could do as they please. Would we come back? No, but overall we had a good week. I didnt realise how cloudy, stormy and rainy Menorca can be - obviously not the hotel's fault, but if you normally go to Greece or Cyprus and expect constant sunshine you'll be disappointed like we were.

"Pleasant stay"

8.0

A compact hotel standard for Spain. Initially underwhelmed as we arrived but that soon changed and we enjoyed our 2week stay. Positives - food very good, tasty and warm. Entertainment ok, low key easy going just what the hotel needs although hotel needs to sort out the speakers. Clean hotel, location close to a small beach. Even though it was August the hotel didn’t reel too crowded, sunbeds are gone by the main pool by 0745 if you haven’t got your towels down!! Everybody does it so no drama if you want a good spot. Drinks are good quality and easy to get. Beer is Mahou. Negatives - nothing major and nobody really had anything bad to say. Bathroom needs a refurb, rooms a bit small if more than two people. Not too much in the immediate area of the hotel but Ciutadella is nearby which is pretty and good choice of dining/drinks. Overall an OK hotel as cheaper than many so decent value overall. Fellow guests ok with mix of mainly UK, and some Spanish, Italian and French.

"Good location and base ……."

6.0

All inclusive was 3 star… food flipped in 3 days low on choice.. charged for ground coffee, chocolate milk, towel cleaning, basic key safe, ice cream, tourist tax, 90% staff rude and short with patience.. smiles were few and far.. 3 stand out staff in restaurant and bar areas.. you pay was the favourite feedback. Pillows very poor, black out blinds very poor, coaches every morning from 7 reving engines, beeping, cleaners up and down corridor from 8am.. on one occasion the maid stopped me and show me a message hi…. I am…. I work…. And am off tomorrow and ….. said nothing I can only assume she was pressing for a tip.. felt very strange. Music around pool very load Jet washed every morning pocarline tiles very slippy. Wires and pipes very dangerous.. room was manufactured for 3 but designed for 2 Lack of space to dry hair with mirror and plug sockets The booking told me nothing of the charges, reception didn’t advise, took deposit for towels but didn’t inform me I had to pay 1€ per day to change = 3 € I spent €24 for towels cleaning in 7days and we had thunder storms.. positives hotel was clean, A good base The booking didn’t tell me what I was expected to pay Safe €38 for 1 week €10 deposit old crappy key safe excessive costs Towels €10 each deposit Towels cleaning / daily change €1 per towel per day Tourist tax €56 During stay had to pay €2each for chocolate cold milk €2.20 for coffee or free out out coffee machine €24 towel cleaning Many other things were upgrade costs which should of been included.. We did purchase several bottles of wine which is fine they offer 3 which we don’t like. All in all pre booking holidays this type of information should be visible. I did find out some of these through other means but it’s TUI role to make me aware not Sheila from London who’s just got back with her 3 kids and husband and spent an arm and leg despite being A.I

"Highly recommended"

10.0

Great location just 50m across the road from the beach, which is beautiful with cheap pedalos (€20) and rocks to jump from. Souvenir shops, supermarkets and bars showing football are five minutes’ walk away. Lovely food with plenty of choice, including a hot station. Drinks were good with low-alcohol options and a wide range of spirits. The pool bar served great snacks and late food was available in the restaurants after entertainment – a nice touch. Entertainment was decent, though the poor sound system didn’t help. The hotel was spotlessly clean, especially the bedrooms. All staff were friendly, polite and helpful – kudos to the whole team. Three pools including a kids’ pool. We stayed by the smaller pool most days and Diego the lifeguard was brilliant – really added to our holiday. Free Wi-Fi throughout.

"Good break"

6.0

We had a lovely week away. The rooms were cleaned daily, but the cleaners were quite loud in the mornings, so you could hear everything in the room. The food was okay, with little change for the kids, but there were good options for adults. However, many of the food labels were incorrect, so it’s best to ask if you’re unsure. The beach is just a 3-minute walk away, and there are local shops too. We visited the water park, which was fantastic! We managed to get a taxi for under €20 one way. There wasn’t much information about the entertainment options at night or during the day. However, there was a bingo every night, but it was cash only. The hotel bar, on the other hand, was cashless for ice coffees and ice creams. You have to pay €38 for a safe, but you get €10 back at the end of your trip. The sunbeds are gone by 8 around the pool, but there are plenty of beds at the back if you don’t have kids. Surprisingly, many people saved beds and didn’t use them until about 2 pm. The hotel was clean and tidy, and the staff were friendly.

"Wonderful Mediterrani! "

10.0

Another amazing holiday at the Medditerrani!! Wonderful food, spotlessly clean and fabulous staff. We really love this hotel, we are really sad we have been unable to book our third visit next year due to prices being too high. A huge shout out to Lara on the animation team, our son loved the mini disco and he really loved Lara. And also Carlos behind the bar, he was so good with our son and made his stay memorable. Hope to be back at this wonderful hotel in the future.

"Fantastic last minute find"

10.0

Booked this hotel quite last minute but it turned out to be a great find! Extremely clean with excellent staff. Food was lovely and plentiful; we especially enjoyed the themed nights. Rarely queued for a drink during the day or at night. Choice of pools and you could always find a sun bed (albeit not around the main pool after 7am!). Safe was expensive compared to other hotels we’ve stayed at (most have been free) but we’d found this out before we went, so it wasn’t a surprise. Local area is nice to explore, with a short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops and to watch a beautiful sunset. Really couldn’t fault this hotel!

"lovely compact hotel fantastic food"

10.0

fantastic food, compact hotel with everything nearby we have just come back from a 4 night stay. the room was spacious and clean we were all inclusive and the food was better than our recent cruise with msc. never had a queue to get a drink and there was an a drinks menu with a good selection there were activities for the kids and adults (including bingo every evening) you have to give a deposit of €10 if you want a beach towel and then €1 if you want to change it. the safety deposit box in the room was a charge of €38, i felt this was really really expensive and that would be my only criticism if you want a sun bed by the pool you have to get up early, they are all gone by 7.30 as is often the case they reserve the bed and then dont go there until much later. however there is plenty of seating as we had to check out early, breakfast opens at 6 for these guests a limited selection but a lovely touch if you want to book the caves (about a 7 min walk), book really early as it was sold out when we were there. the hotel is part of a group and we will be trying another one in menorca. in the room there is tea/coffee, there wasn’t any english tea bags but there are plenty of these at lunch/dinner so this is easily sorted.
