"Bella settimana di mare nella meravigliosa Minorca"

10.0

"Fabulous week at this beautiful hotel"

10.0

We have just returned home after a weeks stay at this hotel and we had an amazing week. The hotel is immaculate with many staff onsite daily cleaning inside and outside we could not find fault with the cleanliness. Some very minor wear and tear in the hotel room which is to be expected at high season with the amount of people coming and going but nothing that would spoil your holiday. If you want a bed round the pool you need to be up early but if you’re not too bothered there are always sun beds to be found away from the pool. The food was excellent and plenty of it available through the day the catering staff work round the clock to provide fresh food and despite working so hard we were always greeted with smiles, my husband and I referenced the long hours they must work more than once. We had seen a few reviews prior to our arrival around the food being cold. Initially we felt the same but after a couple of days we noticed the hot plates near the bread which made all the difference to keeping our food warm initially we were just picking up cold plates. All the food was freshly cooked and lots of theme nights. The only slight let down for us was the audio system for the evening entertainment as you could barely hear the act. I can’t remember the name of the group but they were a Michael Jackson tribute act they had put a lot of effort in to their show with costume changes and dance routines but the whole thing was let down by poor audio we felt so sorry for the group who saw it through despite the technical difficulties. It was the same as the week went on really poor audio I would recommend you have this looked at to avoid further disappointment. Overall a fabulous week here we would highly recommend and would certainly return in the future.

"Lovely, clean & relaxed hotel"

10.0

Clean & very well run hotel. The food is very good for an all-inclusive hotel. The restaurant staff work extremely hard. The time we visited was a very busy time but staff remained cheerful. Lovely drinks available. Generous food times and no problems when at times we slipped in 5 minutes before the end of service! Rooms comfortable, air-con running effectively and quietly. Asked for pool view and ws given it. Good evening entertainment that stops at 11pm so no thumping speaker until the early hours. All public areas clean and in good repair. Pretty little beach a few metres away. You can throw a towel down, or get there early (about 9am) for 2 x loungers and a fixed umbrella on the beach for €21. Cuitadella old town 10 mins away in a taxi (€10) for the port for boat trips (Mestral boat hire) and little markets and shops. You can get a taxi back to the hotel easily enough from one of the squares. Pool Zumba daily. Some of the reviews about the food made me nervous but I needn't have worried, fresh salads, hot dishes, paellas, a range of desserts, fish there is a huge range. Not sure what some of the people giving bad reviews were expecting?? Lobster and filet steak? Never gonna happen on an all-inclusive. We did have to reserve beds by the pool, every morning at 6am, but it is the busiest 2 weeks of the year and in school holidays. There were beds elsewhere but we wanted a specific spot. Book this hotel, you won't regret it.

"It drew us back again!"

10.0

Another great stay at Globales Mediterranean. Maybe our 4th or 5th stay here over the years. We tend not to ever go to the same hotel, but this place just does it for us. A relaxed and quiet area of Menorca, with a beach a stones throw away, plus a few bars/restaurants, means this is our ideal hideaway. Ciutadella is 10 minutes away in a taxi, & is a beautiful city to visit. No issues at the hotel. Food can get a bit same over 10 days, but we popped out for a couple of meals. It's not a negative by any stretch, as always a choice. Room was big and airy. My only negative, is that the fold out bed is not the most comfortable, but it's a minor issue. No sunbed wars here at all. Staff are lovely and friendly, and shout outs to Maribel, Marc, Xavier, Carlos, Lara, Maria, Daniel & Joanna, to name a few. Evening entertainment was not always what we wanted, so we would pop down to Hola Ola Bar. However, if Shanti & Simon are on the entertainment in the evening, then stay and listen. Amazing. If you are looking for a relaxed getaway, then this is the place.

"A nice hotel for families"

8.0

I stayed here with my husband and daughter, the hotel catered for families well. The room was fine although the bathroom needed a bit of tlc, on first review the shower looked to be one of the worst we have seen, however upon using it we found it was actually one of the best! The air con was excellent , in fact we had to turn it down as we found we would wake up cold in the night! Whilst to get a sunbed at the pool you would need to be out by 7am, if you were ok to use a bed away from the pool area you could find one anytime of the day. The food was fine, it’s never amazing due to the number needing to be catered for, but we always could find food we liked as there was a good choice at the each meal. There was not much to see in the resort but Ciutadella is only a short trip on a bus or taxi - definitely worth a visit (or two!). Given this was a Tui Platinum hotel we did expect the evening entertainment to be better and there was not many activities run in the day, there was aquacise that was to run twice a day but several days it ran just once, or not at all. We didn’t think it was right to need to pay for the room safe, this is the first time we had needed to do so didn’t purchase this. Overall a solid hotel, but would suggest a low 4 star when compared to other Tui Platinum hotels we have stayed at, but we would stay there again nevertheless and would recommend it.

"Brilliant spot!"

10.0

Just sat in the sun on the steps waiting for our transfer and just wanted to take some time to say what a wonderful chilled week we have had. We stay at fancy 5 star resorts or villas but this was a reasonably priced last min deal with TUI and could not fault it! We’re here with a 17, 13 and 9 year old. The food is nice, does have busier times but we always went as late as possible. Hotel and rooms are clean. Beach is across the road with a few bars and restaurants lining the cove. There is a little centre 5 mins down the road - I mean little! But what a sunset spot! We did ask for 2 rooms next to each other which was provided and a quiet part of the hotel. If you get a sea view it’s also a pool view which is also where all the entertainment is at night so we were pleased with our country side view although it wasn’t quiet in the mornings with all the coming and going of staff and transfer busses honking horns or beeping as they reverse but that was the only negative really! We love the area so much we’ve booked to come back next may! Also cuitudela is worth a visit too only 10 mins away and beautiful as is the little marina of Cala en bosch

"Perfect AGAIN!"

10.0

This was our 2nd visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint! From the welcome at the front desk to the cleaners to the waiting and bar staff - all just brilliant. The food was soooo good! So much choice. All fresh and tasty. Please dont believe the food is bad - it's really not. Lots of fish- it's a Mediterranean country so 🤷 and lots of different meats. If you just eat chips and pizza then I don't know what to say to you- maybe stay in the UK. Rooms were clean and comfy beds. Air con was good. Shower really good. The cleaner was so nice. A lot of the staff were there from the year before and remembered us which was nice. Pool is now a more even depth so better for families. Nice that there's now no smoking round the pool. Gardens were really beautiful. Entertainment was better this year. Really can't fault the place! We will be back at some point. The island is beautiful - Mahon and Citudella are stunning. Local beach is lovely but small and gets crowded. Restaurant staff are friendly and attentive. Everything was fantastic.

"Read before you book here"

6.0

Currently staying in room 221 here, the room is lovely and clean, overlooking the pool and great evening sun. Shower is great. Beds and towels have been changed daily however I was disappointed that on an all inclusive the fridge was empty and you only get 1 small bottle of water for the duration of your stay. You can refill it in the bar but if you forget you’re stuck without water. I get eco friendly but not practical. There is coffee and tea in the room but no English teabags. The hotel is very clean, gardens are nice. The main pool is much smaller than it looks on the photos and is simply too cold to enjoy. I couldn’t get past my legs before having to get out and no sun beds around it unless you want to get up at silly o’clock. The children’s pool is a lovely temperature but I’m not a child and the one next to it is better but quite small. I was planning to swim a lot but it’s pretty busy in there (probably because it’s the only one most people could get in) so had to time my swims when most people were having lunch. More sun beds around this area which I could get everyday from around 9.30. It’s kind of not for kids or adults this hotel. Hard to define. Not much for kids to do at all. I’m so glad my 13 year old is not with me here! Or my friends 8 and 11 year olds! But kids can entertain themselves I guess. It’s more for couples that want to relax and chill with bingo and low key songs although there is a kids disco to start with. It’s quite short and for smaller ones. I do like a dance but there is nowhere around to seek more upbeat songs and atmosphere. There’s a few restaurants but no other entertainment so you’re kinda stuck at the hotel. Entertainment was ok but very boring. Slow chilled out songs but not a lot of upbeat ones. However on Wednesday the two guys were really good!! I know Menorcs is chilled but generally nearly sent me to sleep most days. As for beach towels, I was very annoyed that I had to pay 10€ deposit for each towel, had to be cash and no ATM at the hotel had to go out and find one which didn’t work! Finally found one that worked using contactless but really?? I just wanted a towel! Then to top it off I was furious that when I asked for a fresh towel at the end of the day I had to pay an extra 2€ to change it!. Imagine if you had a larger family! Not at all happy about this! This is what has prompted me to write this review. They are also quite small and they don’t cover the whole sun bed. Sun beds are also not comfortable but just about bearable. There is also added tax when you arrive about 40€ for 1 room 5 nights. The food is nice but a very limited choice not what I’m used to and the drinks are limited too. No pina colada on free cocktails which I personally love on holiday 6.50€ if I wanted one. Gutted. Some positives but not what I’d expect for a 4* all inclusive at all. I guess I should have read more carefully what was included in their all inclusive package. Wish I’d seen the drinks menu! Beach cove was lovely, busy and challenging to find somewhere to lay your towel. But beautiful! The sand is very sticky to your towel with seaweed bits so towelling towels not great lots of people had linen blankets instead which I didn’t bring but they worked well. Great down there! Loved it! But no all inclusive there of course. So…Don’t forget to fill your little water bottle, no cans you can take with you unless you buy them from the shop which is down the road. Weather is beautiful here though thank goodness! I wouldn’t come back here. I expected more for my money and didn’t expect to have to pay extras when I got here. Depends what you want from your holiday! Just my opinion x

"Poor management - inconsiderate to families with young children"

6.0

We had a great time at this hotel. Food an all inclusive the food was more than okay, some days it was really nice. There was always something you could find to eat. Anyone complaining about the food must be very fussy eaters. Rooms and hotel were spotless. Downside, on arrival, one of the children had been placed on the wrong room. There were 7 of us. Myself, my wife and my children, and my mum, my sister and her children. One of my sisters children had been placed in a room with myself. I did inform TUI about this and they told me it would be fine, not to worry. However on arrival, the hotel manager told me this was not okay. The room for my sister, mum and two children only had 3 beds made up. They refused to make the third bed and told me that my niece would have to sleep on my room. The manager told us we would have to pay for my niece to go into the room with her mother as it was incorrect on TUI booking. This made no sense as both rooms had more than enough space. We had all paid £810 pp and was one large group booking. We also paid an extra £200 to update to a suite which was the room the manager would not allow my niece to sleep on until TUI amended the booking. This was not a nice way to start our holiday. We had to call TUI and speak to the TUI rep who eventually said they would sort this for us. Although, they did say it might not be possible. Thankfully, they sorted it.
