Location is fantastic, cable tv was better than other motels

The carpets need a major upgrade or steam cleaned

Other than the property being a bit dated and right off the freeway, it was a quiet and friendly place to sleep for a couple nights. We had originally planned only to stay for one night, but were easily able to add an extra night for our stay. Staff was very helpful.

There is not a single thing, well, it had hot water.

When checking in I noticed the neighbor‘s door was a jar, and there was a neighbor upstairs hanging out on the balcony with a robe or possibly a bed blanket lurking. I inquired with the front desk if it would be reasonable to move me upstairs or to a quiet space as I wanted to go to bed at 11 PM.. apparently they were all sold out and we’re unable to make any accommodations or ensure that I would have a restful night sleep – “we’re completely booked tonight”. Management is complacent and who they rent to, let’s just say I’ll be contacting San Luis Obispo Police Department now that I am no longer in the area.. Budget Inn caters to locals,, late night traffic, and In-N-Out privileges with open doors. My neighbor in unit 101 had visitors until 4:30 AM. When stepping outside in the morning to use the phone, he asked if he could help me I was not looking for any service that he would be providing.. this is not a threat, but I promise, I will be contacting San Luis Obispo Police Department today to ensure the other guests are aware of the activity is going on here management is very aware and has no intention of enforcing rules.

The shower was hot and had good pressure. No bugs to be seen. Lamps had plug ins on base to charge electronics at might

The walls and ceiling were paper thin: I could hear everything and the people upstairs were up all night. Furnishings outdated and falling apart: the hand towel bar was falling out of the wall. Only one small trash can in bathroom and no where visible outside for trash. Headboard was sticky and the walls were all visibly dirty. Despite no claim of any charge, pets cost $25 cash or $28 credit each during check in.
