Stratford Court Hotel

Extremely clean

Hotel was perfectly located, close to the Festival, able to just walk to the play. Also easy access to travel to Duck Creek to 4 wheel. TV stations very limited, overall happy

The property did not look as it did on the photos. It was unkept and the windows were dirty as you entered the lobby. The lobby had a distinct smell of sour milk from the breakfast area. There was no one working at the front desk so we had to go across the parking lot to another Motel to check in. The staff at the EL REY were friendly and explained that "someone should be on duty at the Stratford soon" When we finally got to our room it was not ready! It was 4:30 or 5:00 pm!! The hallways were musty smelling. There is no pool, just a small courtyard with a hot tub. We ended up staying at the EL REY which was MUCH BETTER. I suggest skipping THE STRATFORD all together! Just check out THE EL REY!

Nice property, a bit older, but good. Stairs to every floor other than front entrance. Good location, ckosel to Shasespeare and Neil Simon festival sites.

Friendliness, convenient to festival and best, the price

Location - Location - Location - A less than 5 minute walk to great local restaurants and to the Cedar City Shakespeare Festival. Easy to find on Main Street, Cedar City. Ample self-parking. The hotel itself had pleasant, competent desk service. The room - 205- was clean on the surface: beds area, sink area, bathroom but both the windows and the A/C control area were dirty. The toilet had an occasional "keep on running problem" which was resolved most times by jiggling the handle, but once had to have the tank cover removed and the chain re-hooked. Tile in the bathrooms was appreciated. The shower head flow and the sink faucet flow were good. The TV set, the microwave and the small refrigerator all worked. Overall Rating - somewhere between 3 & 4 on a five point scale.

Pluses: Clean, quiet, spacious, friendly staff, easy to find, good price, good tv Minuses: poorly maintained parking lot, very sparse amenities and no vending, mediocre breakfast

Great location! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was nice for the price. The beds were to firm for my liking. The hot tub was great and very clean. Just wished they still had a pool

Stratford Inn was closed and I was directed across the parking lot to the El Rey hotel. No problem! Rooms were above expectation and the staff were very helpful.

You could hear everything through the walls. Mold was growing on the ceiling in the shower. Rooms were very compact.
