Stratford Court Hotel

hotel clerk was not happy to answer any question's about events in town and didn't seem to want to be there Saturday morning. clean hotel and pleasing!!

The rooms were very basic, which is fine, but it had a musty smell to it, the hallways smelled very bad, and if you want the air conditioner on it runs constantly (even on auto cool) and is very loud. Also they have a safety warning on the back of all of their key cards, the warning made me feel unsafe, like perhaps it wasn't a safe place for me to be staying.

Disappointed there was no grab bar in shower/tub or on wall next to toilet (toilet very low and hard to get off for us oldsters). Disappointed A/C didn't work well. Both of us woke sweating in middle of night and had to put A/C to "continuous mode" and set temp to 61 just to be comfortable sleeping.

Very pleasant, great location

The price is affordable and they have made great improvements over the past year. My only issue is that the rooms don’t smell fresh. Everything else is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, good price - walking distance to the festival

Stayed here 1 year ago. Basic accommodation. Advantage Close to Shakespeare Festival. Disadvantage: 1) only 1 hanger in room. Room darkly lit. Small table with 2 chairs. Small Fridge and small microwave and coffee maker. Lacks electrical outlets. Lamps have plugs in them so you can hook up adapters, but have cords in the way of table use. It appears it's getting time for updates. Hotel is now part of group which includes El Ray next door. Be price wise when booking. Felt we paid far more that facility was worth. If you need a place to sleep, but not much more, it will work. WiFi appears to be DSL which will give OK speed. Breakfast selection was OK. Do-it-yourself waffles, 2 kinds of cereal, yogurt bananas and apples plain bagels, biscuts & gravy, muffins, pastry all of low quality.

Within walking distance to the Utah Shakespeare Festival

Great location for Shakespeare festival. Only one chair in room, making it very difficult for two people. Cleaning staff was erratic. Missed our room twice during the week. Hopefully things will improve. They seem to be trying.

This hotel is a quick walk from the Utah Shakespeare Festival venues. If you're going to see any of the plays, this is a convenient spot! We loved ouy weeklong stay here, and are planning on coming back soon.
