La Costa Beach Club

I will start with what I thought was good at this resort. The grounds were very clean and well kept. The two pools are very clean with a lot of outdoor furniture, and very appealing, lush flowers, plants, palm trees. The beach is easily accessible and very nice. The office staff was very nice. The down side was the layout of the room - and it looks like most of the rooms that I could see when they were being cleaned. I had the studio with a kitchen. Kitchen was pretty well stocked, including a small bottle of dish liquid and a four day supply of coffee filters. However, bathroom was very small, and the sink had almost NO counter space whatsoever - that is hard with two women or more traveling. No room for makeup, hairbrushes, etc. When you pull down the murphy bed, and open the sofa bed, you would have to climb over the sofa bed to get to the bathroom. I just took the back pillows off of the couch and slept on the couch without opening the bed. Overall, not a bad place, you will need a car for shopping it is not close by.

Property is a hidden gem in pompano. Its not luxury, but it’s well maintained and has what you need for a budget vacation directly on the beach.

Modest but updated and tidy. Pool areas very pretty. Easy access to the beach.

Landscape was very nice with a variety of colors. When we had questions or issues we had very good response time. The beach was beautiful and so close.

Tess at check in was a delight. What a welcome after traveling. Checking out was just as great thank you. Staff throughout are all friendly. Units are spotless clean and stocked for cooking. Steps to beach.

Prime location. This place has so much potential. We arrived later than planned because of flight delay. The receptionist was waiting for us before she left for the night. However, when we entered the room we realized that the room was not prepared for us (4 people). There was 1 full size bed and a pull out sofa, which we knew about. There were 2 pillows in the room, no bedding for the pull out bed. Also, did not have beach towels. Went to talk to the receptionist as she was departing her desk for the night. She gave me sheets for the pull out bed and 1 blanket. She said she did not have any other extras and she did not have any pilllows. She looked quite annoyed that I was asking her for these items. I grew up in the area and understand FL humidity. The smell in the room was not acceptable for a hotel. The furniture and the curtains had a mold smell.

Beautiful right on the beach

Location to the beach is amazing!! Just what I was hoping for. Our 1 bedroom unit (number one twenty eight) happened to be by the front gate so unfortunately we heard that gate slamming shut over and over our whole 5 night stay. I would request a unit away from the gate for any future stays. Also the unit itself was musty smelling,. We bought air fresheners though and that helped a lot. The unit itself was perfect for our needs, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living area and kitchen. The unit was clean and had all the items we needed (replacement toilet paper rolls, trash bags, dish soap, etc). We enjoyed using the outdoor pool (Indoor under repairs) and the hot tub a few times. And it was nice that the resort has laundry facilities to use as well. I would stay here again, just request a unit away from the gate.
