Savoy Park Hotel

A fine dining experience. The steak pie was amazing. Also the garlic pasta dish was superb. The wood panelled traditional restaurant was very classy. Strongly recommend if you like character and charm.

The hotel is a lovely Edwardian sandstone villa in a lovely residential area of Ayr. My room (Room 5) was amazing...huge...and was probably the principal bedroom of the original house being right in the centre of the garden front. It had a stunning complete Edwardian oak bedroom suite and the bed was very comfy. In fact I had the best couple of nights sleep in quite some time. The bathroom was also huge and spotlessly clean. In terms of food I only had breakfast as there are couple of excellent restaurants very nearby...the buffet selection is fairly basic and the cooked breakfast was fine. The decor throughout the hotel is definitely dated and showing it's age but I understand it's closing shortly for a complete refurbishment. I would definitely stay again.

The quirky and elegant building and the bedroom which was enormous! The bed was very comfortable and I slept very well. The hotel is in a lovely area and close to excellent restaurants.

The public areas are tired and in need of considerable refurbishment. Breakfast buffet was limited and the cooked food was variable in quality.

This hotel is my favorite place I've ever stayed. The hotel itself was originally a stunning private home, converted into a lovely hotel with ~15 guest rooms. The beds are absolutely _AMAZING_...easily the best beds we've ever slept on. We ended up having to extend our stay in the area 2-3 days longer than anticipated, and they accommodated us graciously, with just the adjustment of having to move to another room for the last 3 days. The staff is phenomenal, friendly, efficient, easy to talk to and full of information about the hotel and/or the area. However, the surprise star of our stay was the restaurant within the hotel. My husband's family had vacationed in Ayr since he was a young boy, and he knows the area quite well, and has his favorite spots he loved to go eat, or grab an ice cream. However, the food at the hotel was so wonderful, we ate breakfast and dinner there each night. Every item was impeccably seasoned and loaded with flavor, but not over-salted. We plan to make this our go to place to stay while in Ayr, we loved it that much. I understand they have a renovation planned soon, and we can't wait to see how they improve on what we already think was amazing. *Note: there's no elevator here, in case anyone needs one.

Just a lovely old style hotel. Made you feel like you're in a country manor, not the centre of Ayr. Will definitely stay again.

The radiator in the room wasn't working to well. The staff sorted us out with a small heater that worked a treat.
