Americas Best Value Inn - Azusa/Pasadena

Our room appeared to have been recently remodeled, and instead of carpeting had a smooth floor of some type of composite, which was very practical and clean. The room was generously sized and well laid-out. For a property so near the freeway, it was quieter than anticipated. There's plenty of parking, the grounds are clean and well-kept, and the staff are pleasant. About the only minor drawback is that the breakfast options are limited (coffee, juice, pastries), but there are so many restaurants in the area that it isn't really an issue. The refrigerator in the room worked well and was slightly larger than average. Overall I'm quite happy with our stay, and would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reasonably priced option.

The room was very very basic- no way to make a hot drink, no side table lamps by the bed, no way to air the room safely. Poor mobile reception and very poor WiFi connection.

That fact that because I book one more night online, front desk did not let me stay in the same room and make me go out and return at 3pm to check in for the second night. Plus rooms 125 and 125 had duty chair, furniture falling a part, door handles not closing properly, and cockroaches crawling on the table at night.
