The only reason I stayed was because I was running the Cape Town Marathon. I would never stay there for leisure.

The property manager is not accommodating at all. At time of booking, I requested a late check out (as you can) as I needed to shower after my Cape Town Marathon race to get on a plane back home to KZN as I was flying to France on the Monday. At collection of keys, the reception said it was still possible as no one had booked that room. But I could also check out at 10am if a guest booked, leave bags at reception and shower at the pool area. This could work but pool area closed due to maintenance. Why not advise at time of booking. The pool is one of the facilities! The day before my race, Saturday, the agent tells me she has a guest arriving on Sunday and not sure time they checking in. I had to check out at 10am even though my race only started at 8h30. She made no effort to accommodate me. She messaged me that the only way I could check out later at about 3pm was to pay her a discounted rate of R2000 for those fews hours to shower. So I paid the R2000 as couldn't afford any stress before my race but I'm yet to know where the other guest stayed that was checking in on Sunday seeing I was in the room until 3pm?

Location!! Responsiveness of staff especially the manager during a crisis.

During a power outage there was no inverter. Allocated parking was uncovered during heavy rains and gale force winds in Cape Town. To get to the car one had to be soaking wet while 80% of the covered bays stood empty. Also no cleaning is done. The Aircon did not work just made the apartment colder.

Check-in could be better organized and communicated.

Nothing because I didn't even get a chance to stay because I was told it is late to book after delays from the storm that hit the cape. Network and planes delayed and I was told it's late but property was still showing availability on booking.com. advise don't book late at night even if it shows availability on the app you will be told it's late it's not available and you won't get your money back. It's been 2 days now and I have not received my refund and calls are not answered.

I didn't like the treatment I recieved and was left hanging after I paid and booked online. Then I was told it's too late they won't open for me after they took my money. Was told to cancel and I will get full refund it's been 2 days money has not been returned and my calls unanswered even my texts.

Greenpoint is always so central I find. My check-in was seamless. I enjoyed the one bedroom apartment. Although no views it was perfect. Comfortable and had absolutely everything I needed! Tastefully decorated too.

A temporary issue as I overlooked the large and extremely noisy building site. Fortunately I was hardly in the room so it didn’t really have too much of a negative impact on me. Collapsed shelf in one of the cupboards that can easily be fixed and there was unfortunately no adapter to the hairdryer.
