This is a cool hotel, nice and clean rooms. Only thing is the "ocean front rooms to harbor, there's a huge parking lot in front, so yes view but with parking lot. Cool little bar and surprisingly room service food is delicious!!

I was expecting a luxury resort experience but our stay was reminiscent of an overnighter at a retirement/assisted living facility. We checked in and the front desk agent was friendly but didn't tell us she had "upgraded" us to a different room than what I booked. To me, an upgrade means a better room. Not in this case. We were given room 116 which is a handicapped room the ground floor just down the hall from the lobby. Handicapped bars all over the bathroom and the handicapped shower stool was very off putting. The table in the sitting area only had one chair, allowing a wheelchair to roll up and park itself at the table too I assume. While I certainly appreciate these wheelchair accessible modifications and accommodations for the handicapped or elderly, I do not enjoy staying in a room like this on holiday. It's depressing and a foreshadowing that offends me when I'm trying to enjoy a vacation in my present good health. Most importantly, these rooms should be kept available for people that actually need these accommodations. And when you're given a different room than what you booked because the "fireplace didn't work" I think you should make sure the guest is comfortable with the room switch and that it's not actually a downgrade. Also there were no bathrobes provided which is an expectation of a resort and spa hotel. I was disappointed and would not stay here again for what we paid.

Very pleasant room across from the Marina, quiet and comfortable. Not walking distance to other things in Half Moon Bay
