Monarch Hotel

The hotel was nice and clean we paid extra for a sea view room which was v nice and had been refurbished even though it was quite small. It was always kept clean. The meals were v good with a choice. The service at meal times was not as good as when we have been on other Alfa Tours. We had to wait quite a while for the waitress to take order and to clear away there was also a shortage of dishes and glasses at breakfast time for self service. It didnt spoil our stay though but it was a fault!

The view was lovely. The bed was very comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful.. able to park close by for free .the shower was a lovely size . .thanku

As this was last minite .we payed alot of money for the room .I have stayed here before, at cheaper rates n had a lovely breakfast experience. Sadly we felt the breakfast wasnt of its usual standard ..n the breakfast staff seemed a little sad.

A great week at this hotel with Alfa coaches. Very friendly staff, good food and great trips out. Hotel has been refurbished and is very clean and comfortable. Would definitely like to return

We were greeted on the coach by the assistant/ manager, sorry forgot her name, who gave us a very warm welcome and information regarding rooms, meal times etc. The collection of our room keys at reception was very well organised. Although our room was at the back of the hotel, it was spacious, clean bedding and towels. Bathroom was clean with walk in shower with shampoo/soap dispenser inside. Staff in the bar & dining room were very friendly and helpful. the food was excellent, with a chef special dish evening, portions more than ample. Our server Sean was excellent giving prompt service. He also came across as genuinely concerned when my husband took ill on our last day.

Nice clean room. Noticed at breakfast a young man serving was extremely helpful with an elderly infirm gentleman assisting him without being too obvious or patronising. Very good of him, which was very nice to see, could do with more people like this nowadays.
