Travel Inn

Ramshackled and needs a complete overhaul Did not feel safe here.

This place does long-term stays, so half of it seemed like a ghetto; people sitting outside all day smoking, and cats running around. The room was decent, and the employees were very helpful. I just kind of felt like I was in a slum. It did motivate me to get out and explore Anchorage. HBO and cable was a good plus

Rude Staff, would not honor my Expedia reservation and the room had a bug infestation. Spend more and bypass this location. I wish I did!

Only a few blocks from downtown & grocery store. Keesan and his staff were very attentive and made sure i had everything needed during my 4 night stay.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! RUNN!!! Evening about this place was terrible - very disappointed. This is not a hotel. There are long term residents that live there, only handful rooms are used as "hotel". Disgusting sticky floors, stains on everything (sheets,pillows,chair cushion) front door didn't close properly, no tables or counter space to keep your stuff - very old and over used towels... I wish I had spent extra money for a clean, safe and comfortable stay. (Fyi this place was not cheap either)

Hotel is close to the downtown area, which was nice for my work. The check in process was quick but I felt like I came in at the wrong time; the check in clerk seemed to have other things more important to do. Then he walked me to my room, which wasn’t bad but still a bit strange, being a single girl. The room looked like an Ikea college dorm room with pool side table and chairs; but I felt safe enough to sleep there. The lock to the front door wasn’t working right. The lock kept getting stuck, so at night I put some items in front of my door as a precaution. The bathroom had no hand soap and no counter space; had to keep my items on the floor/back of toilet while getting ready. After a few hours in the room, a smell started forming; finally found it was coming from the mattress/pillow. I can’t even describe the smell....just repulsive. I ended up sleeping ontop of my clothes and not using any blankets to sleep with. Will not be staying here ever again, just wasn’t a functional space with some other negative aspects during my stay.

Outside of hotel is really rundown but inside room have recently had remodels. Room was pretty clean equipped with mini fridge and microwave. Overall, this was even disappointing for a budget hotel.

Although less expensive than nearby hotels, I wish I had spent the extra money for a clean, comfortable experience. My room was quite dirty (used soap bar in the shower, etc.), there was no washcloth or internet, the small fridge was running loudly all night...overall, it was an okay place to sleep but I would not recommend it to future guests.
