Ottima posizione strategica per una notte soltanto ...ottima accoglienza.. tutto grazioso

Charming and lovely, this hotel has a picturesque setting that will make it feel like home. Lovely owners who helped us with a problem and were so accommodating. We loved our stay here. The restaurant was lovely and the food amazing! Both the owner and staff were friendly and so professional, working hard to be of service. Amazing stay at Alberto Vista Lago!

The hotel is well located overlooking Como City and we had a glimpse of Lake Como from our Balcony. I got the feeling that the albergo was just wakening from it’s winter slumber as there were few signs of activity in the restaurant or bar and certainly no locals around. However the hotel and Brunate thanks to the very handy funicular makes an excellent base for discovering the Lake Como area.

Choisi pour le calme d'un village, la vue et l'originalité du funiculaire pour se déplacer à Côme sans voiture (utilisation des bateaux bus pour les visites), le patron parle un bon français, le seul point négatif le clocher à quelques mètres qui sonne à 7 heures du matin et des chambres peu insonorisées. Un séjour dans l'ensemble agréable de 2 nuits en famille.

situation géographique très bien! car à 50 m du funiculaire pour Côme. Par contre, pour les chambres avec vue sur le lac, non, on ne le voit pas, on ne le devine pas non plus. Juste vue sur la vallée et en fond les Alpes enneigées! c'est déja pas mal! D'autre part, comme deux chambres seulement étaient louées, notre hôte ne se déplaçait pas, il a fallu que je l'appelle à plusieurs reprises avec mon tel portable français( gare à la facture) pour avoir des renseignements logistiques sur à qui rendre les clefs car personne à la réception. Quand au paiement, notre hôte, toujours par téléphone a exigé un paiement en espèce pour la chambre or je n'avais que ma carte bleue et mon chéquier. c'est sa femme qui a finit par venir pour faire une copie de ma carte bleue et procéder au paiement, je ne sais pas trop comment ni quand...

Volevamo trascorrere un weekend a Como e cercavamo una sistemazione per una notte, quando dalla ricerca ci spunta fuori questo albergo a Brunate. Il panorama di cui si gode da quella posizione era molto attraente e il fascino della funicolare ci hanno conquistati. Abbiamo parcheggiato l'auto in Como vicino al Duomo e non l'abbiamo toccata fino al giorno seguente. Dopo aver passeggiato per la città e pranzato, di nuovo passeggiato e cenato, abbiamo preso dall'auto le poche cose che ci servivano per la notte e con la funicolare siamo saliti gustandoci la veduta notturna del lago e della città. Arrivati in cima, abbiamo raggiunto in pochi minuti a piedi l'albergo che si trova vicino alla chiesa. Siamo stati accolti molto gentilmente e ci siamo sistemati in una quadrupla molto pulita e ben riscaldata. Bagno molto pulito e doccia ampia. Ho molto apprezzato la presenza del flacone di doccia-schiuma invece delle solite bustine che si trovano negli alberghi di questa categoria. La TV era molto più grande della media. La camera era una tripla comoda adattata a quadrupla un po' strettina, infatti il quarto letto impediva all'armadio di aprirsi, comunque per noi non era un problema visto che per una sera non ci serviva. Dopo una notte veramente tranquilla, al mattino ci siamo svegliati con una giornata fredda, ma di sole e cielo sereno. La visibilità era perfetta ed il panorama dal lago di Como al Monte Rosa, assolutamente splendido.

The road to Brunate is very steep with extremely tight bends. You can get to the hotel by Train and Funicular if you want Our room (22) although very clean was very cramped and not suitable for a seven night stay. Opening the wardrobe doors was impossible along with draws. There was no place to sit around a table to drink or read. No drink making facilities in the room. This was very bad due to breakfast service starting at 8am. A very modern large TV but no English speaking station at all. Only Italian terrestrial TV. This is very poor in comparison to almost any hotel in Italy. There was only a shower in the bathroom which was also tiny. Very basic soap and body wash. We travel to italy a lot and this room is very poor in comparison to the many we have stayed in Breakfast was very limited either tea, orange juice and a croissant for €5. Or an omelette can be served in addition for €10 per person. The breakfast room or dinning room was clean and not pleasant to eat in. It seems to cater for customers coming up on the funicular railway for a snack. You would not eat your evening meal in the hotel It's a clean hotel with pleasant staff but not in any way homely or inviting to the guest BE WARNED THE HOTEL SOMETIMES CLOSES VERY EARLY AND YOU ARE GIVEN A KEY TO ACCESS VIA A SIDE ENTRANCE. THE LOCK IS A BIT FIDDLELY IN THE LATE EVENING. There are no staff on site during the night and we were given the catering mangers phone number in an emergency.

Room was small, but had a great view. No breakfast, no parking.

The hotel is located at a beautiful location at the mountains town of Brunate. The Sorroundings are beautiful and the views are from up there are wonderful. We used a fernicular to travel between the hotel and the city centre and the views of the city going up and down the fernicular are breathtaking. The hotel is small and has that homely atmosphere which is very nice. The staff are very friendly and attentive, especially the owner Ralph. We would get to the hotel from excursions very late in the evening at least past 9pm and very hungry and the owner was always happy to prepare food for us so we don't go to bed hungry. I was there for my birthday and I was given a free bottle of champagne to celebrate it by the owner. The owner also arranged for a taxi transfer for us as we were flying back to England very early in the morning from Milan and we got picked up at 4am by taxi. 2 minutes via a cable train and you are in the city centre where there is all the tourist sights, the harbour, and a number of beaches. The hotel has a lovely Rooftop restaurant with a beautiful views of the city of Como. I really recommend staying here for a super experience of travelling around Como.

We stayed here as an alternative to the overpriced hotels in near Lake Como. The hotels location is great in terms of being right up the street from the funicular. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room does not have air conditioning but a staff member was nice enough and accommodated us with a fan. The wifi isn't great, doesn't work well at night but is great during the morning. The little town of Brunate is beautiful but you can see most of it in two hours. All together it was a nice stay.
