Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo Laguna Beach Hotel

This is a great hotel, fantastic Gym and pool, good bar and restaurant, beautiful location,

Nice sporty hotel. This property is in a business park area and shares an expansive gym with club members (anyone outside the hotel). The gym features a lap pool, hot tub, kids club, kids splash pad, male and female desperate room, sauna and steam room, pickle ball courts, basket ball courts and several weight lifting areas. If you are someone who works out when out of town, this hotel is for you! My boyfriend I loved trying out all the gym perks and hanging out by the pool. I could see how some people might not like sharing the amenities. The hotel is also in a business park so you aren’t able to walk to any restaurants. However, there are some really good places to eat all within a short driving distance. Only thing that really sucked to us was that you have to pay 30 dollars for parking.. and it’s a giant empty structure.. not like they are short of space. The ladies who checked us in also were not the friendliest. Rooms were clean and updated recently. I would stay again.

The gym, and the amenities.

The room was so mistreated, the screws in the shower drain stuck out and would scrape my feet, the shower bar handle was broken, the phone didn't dial as displayed. The staff didn't offer to refill any of the coffee or water bottles, they only refilled it when we asked for the room to be cleaned. If we didn't ask for the room to be cleaned or requested it we didn't get refills on anything. Everyday the coffee and water should be refilled even if the room isn't cleaned. The snack bags weren't offered or even advertised. The bed was so uncomfortable and there was no bellhop or even a cart to bring up our bags. I wanted to extend my stay and I had to jump through hoops just to reserve it. The guest really doesn't seem to be the priority... Most hotels have a front desk that can do just about everything. For the rates you charge the service was mediocre. I basically got the worst room in the hotel. Paying the rate I paid I'd expect a lot more service.

The hotel couldn’t find by reservation with Booking.com. But the staff was nice and found us another room for the same price and didn’t charge us for parking

Several mysterious charges after check out. I would like a detailed bill. The last charge of $32.00 was, I guess, for two bottles of water I bought as the(( hotel does not provide water. Two others might have been parking $49 and $50. ?? Of course, the room gets cleaned every 3rd day and you get 2 towels to last the two days before cleaning.

This is a really nice hotel with great customer service. The spa was also amazing! I got a great deep tissue massage from Jeremy. Highly recommend!
