Candlewood Suites Colonial Heights - Fort Lee by IHG

Loved the accommodations Nice tv, bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, and body wash pumps hanging on the wall of the shower, has shelves in bathroom also. Kitchen with two burner stove, pots and pans, dish washer, utensils, microwave and full size refrigerator. The staff is very friendly. Also there is a gym and laundry room.

Only bad thing I can say is that the bathroom could have been a little cleaner (toilet) especially.

The staff was pleasant, but the building could use some updating.

The rooms are spacious enjoyed the amenities it had to offer.

When was time to take shower there was no hot water. Upon calling the front desk the lady on duty made it seem as if we didn’t know what we were talking about. We literally had to go under the sink turn the hot water valve back on to get hot water. Nobody should have access to those valves. It took so long for water to get hot I got frustrated and left before ten. I didn’t even bother checking out my normal way to receive my receipt. I put keys in box and we left. I will not be returning to this location the person on duty needs customer service training.

The room had a bad odor in it the bed had several pieces of different types of hair on the sheets.We were accommodated to a different room, but that room also had a bad odor and smell just like dogs so we walk in it walk back out so we ask for our refund back and left. The young lady at the front desk was very professional and nice and she I was never charged but I was still waiting on my refund.

The hotel was good as far as the staff being professional and very clean but the main problem with this place its location approximately 50 ft. Or so from railroad tracks. Trains running all through the night didn't go so well for me sleeping good.
