Morabeza Hotel

Really enjoyed our second stay at the Morabeza and it won’t be the last. The staff are so friendly and helpful. A special mention needs to go to Denilson in the Tortue bar, he is so friendly and helpful and really treats you like a friend. The one niggle if you can call it that is the constant fight against the odd ant in the room, but that said, they do have insect repellent in the room for you to use. The plant life from the well kept gardens is the cause. They also are constantly cleaning the hotel which is great to see. Food in the restaurants was great and not too expensive for the quality.

Although full, we never felt the hotel was crowded. There were ample sun beds , great bars and a lovely ambience. We were B and B which meant we had plenty of chance to sample the local, varied restaurants. Can’t wait to return for another chilled pre-Christmas break.

In my experience the best on the island of Sal by far. The staff are just wonderful, and the property is well run, fresh and welcoming.

Lovely hotel, spread over large gardens which makes it feel very uncrowded. Sea view room was very nice, spotlessly clean with fab bathroom. Staff are very helpful and friendly , especially the guy in charge of the bar upstairs! Very well positioned next to town on the best part of the beach. Highly recommend.

We aren't typically resort people. We came for a quick stopover on the way to Boa Vista to see the popular Santa Maria beach and thought it'd be fun to do a resort experience with or daughter for the night. Was so much fun to jump between the ocean and the pools. The room was large and comfortable. The staff was very nice. The location was really nice since it's right on the beach for a morning swim and close to town to walk out to a restaurant or bar.

Arrived at midnight and were welcomed by the night receptionist who was very pleasant but gave me paper information which was not in English, but no problem as I swapped it the next morning. Breakfast was buffet style and had a good selection and plentiful. The flies were a bit annoying but this is the case wherever you are in Cape Verde so the hotel is not accountable for this. We had a junior suite which was spacious and although we were facing the beach we would have preferred a room on an upper floor as the view would have been nicer. The guest relations staff were helpful. We did not eat at the hotel as we prefer to go out and sample local restaurants.

The hotel is located right on a beautiful sandy beach. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurants' food is delicious, I wish I had more dinners in it. The gym is rather basic. WiFi internet is free for the first 24 hours only. I will definitely come back.

Positives Clean hotel, lovely pools and restaurant. Good location with lots of restaurants and bars near by. Negatives Wifi was an extra, not expected in a 4* hotel. So called "no stress" culture meant that there was very long time gaps waiting for drinks and food and bills etc. Paying to use a sunbed on top of the price of room is unacceptable at a beach hotel in my opinion.
