Americas Best Value Inn Gettysburg

Lighting was very poor, impossible to put on makeup or for my husband to shave.

This is a nice little motel. The people are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The shower pressure was good. It was very quiet. I really would have given 5 🌟 if the bed had been comfortable.

Booked this hotel through Travelocity. When we got to the hotel we were informed there was a $100 deposit in addition to the $98 for the room. Front Desk staffed stated this deposit was on the website and I told them nowhere on the booking through Travelocity was there a mention of a $100 deposit. They said the deposit would be refunded the next day, but I know its 7-10 business days before its actually back on my card. Staff was not very friendly, so we left and went down the road to the Hilton Garden Inn and stayed there. Staff was friendly there and very helpful. Should have known something was wrong when we pulled on the lot and there was only 4-5 cars in the lot.

My husband and I stayed two nights and were happy with the comfort and cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was very basic grab & go, oatmeal, packaged pastries, and trail bars. The only issues we had was when it was time to leave. The whole time we were packing up our motorcycles the two person cleaning staff stood outside our room with their cleaning cart waiting for us to leave. We still had 45 min until check out so we sort of felt bullied into leaving early.

Staff was very nice and polite. I actually saw the cleaners wiping down the outside of every door. Plus the inside was clean. Was only 10 mins away from the main drag of where everything was. Would definitely stay here again.
