Fitzgerald's Woodlands House Hotel

Staff was very polite and friendly. Hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Location was not within walking distance of Adare but taxis could be hailed very quickly-we even got a ride back to hotel at midnight.

Room smelled of bleach on arrival but the staff changed us immediately. Great place to stay and Adare is a 'must see' town in Ireland

Spent 5 nights in hotel where I have stayed several times before. I live in the UK so immediate reaction on arrival is 'unwinding' The hotel is located in the country and has all the necessary facilities to encourage you to spend time there. It has a well equipped gym, spinning classes and swimming pool. I was attending a family wedding and was delighted to make full use of the Spa and beauty salon where the staff were not only very efficient but very accommodating. The food is excellent and I was very impressed with the wide range of local produce on the menus.

I have stayed at the Woodlands House hotel, on average 3/4 times a year over the past 4 years. On this recent visit a member of staff did not acknowledge me in the corridor as we passed. She was not rude in anyway, she just didn't say hello or good morning or anything. It took me a while to work out why this stood out to me as living in London passing people with no reaction is a daily occurrence, but this stood out as over all the visits over the past 4 years this is the first member of staff I can recall who did not say hello or good morning as they went about doing their jobs and we passed by. This is the only negative point I can think of about the Woodands, and it isn't even really a point worth raising. The hotel is very well run, clean, comfortable, great facilities, big, spacious rooms with very comfortable beds, excellent customer serice and very friendly and helpful staff. The 5 star hotel a mile up the road could learn a lot from the Woodlands.

I was impressed with the Fitzgeralds Woodlands, I wasn't expecting the rooms to be as comfortable and the beds.....they were the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. I would like to know where the hotel got its toppers? We ate in the hotel on our arrival evening and our meal was just top class. We were there to use the Spa the next day which is always top class but the fantastic experience we had in the hotel as well made it all the better. Many thanks.

Area, grounds and amenities were all nice. Rooms were in good shape and clean. Walls were a little thin, we could hear neighboring TV.
