Fitzgerald's Woodlands House Hotel

Lovely hotel friendly staff only thing was with my bad back mattress was not too soft otherwise it was perfect

Hotel well maintained. Loved the family room both our children had separate single beds. Very comfortable, spacious ans beautifully decorated hotel. You can tell that the owner believes in keeping the hotel in prime condition and not wait until things are shabby, well done. The leisure center pool was wonderful. The breakfast and dinner outstanding. The children made us promise that next time we visit Ireland, we must book The Fitzgerald Woodland for an extended stay.

The minute we walked in, I just wanted to turn around and leave. The lobby was crowded, noisy kids running down the hallways and banging the vending machine. The room had a weird smell which never went away, big spider behind the TV. It was hard to fall asleep because we could hear every single word of our next door neighbor‘s conversation. The shower temperature was unpredictable, it could go from burning hot to freezing cold in one second. The bathroom needs some major works. We stayed two nights. Breakfast buffet was ok. The second night we decided to eat at the restaurant because we had an early flight the next morning and didn't want to stay out late. The food was alright, nothing special, but the Service was horrible. We saw our waitress twice the entire meal, first when she took our orders, second time when she brought coloring paper for my kids without any crayons. We had to track her down to ask for our bill, then she stopped to chat with her friend on her way to the register. Twenty minutes later, we we had to ask another waiter to bring our bill. Checking out was nightmare. We booked and paid for everything through expedia. Never charged anything to the room so we could just drop the key cards off and leave to catch the early flight. The guy at the front desk was new, our bill had room Service charges and we were billed for our stay even though it was already paid for. He offered to charge my credit card and refund Me later, which i refused. WTH?!!!!

a lovely hotel, great staff, food delicious, good clean room with good bedding, well recommended.

Beautiful grounds, hard beds, very little interaction with personnel, breakfast was plentiful.

We booked two double rooms for our family when we attended a family wedding there recently.

Found the hotel be be extremely pleasant, room good, clean, staff attentive, bistro very good, high quality all round.

hotel caters to weddings, anniversaries, and bus-tours so common areas are sometimes very busy... bed was uncomfortable... great breakfast... nice amenites

The hotel was family freindy. The leisure centre was excellent. The hotel room was very comfortable.
