U Chiang Mai

Excellent hotel. Service was fantastic.

Excellent location, great facilities courteous and accommodating staff. Decent size tastefully decorated, well equipped rooms with many amenities such as mini fridge with daily replenished refreshments. Bathroom featured both large bathtub and small rain shower. Unfortunately there are no elevators so it’s a bit of a climb if your room is on the top floor. Some rooms face noisy street, especially busy and loud on weekends where May local bars offer live music. Knowing that we would be traveling 20 hours we requested a quiet room but was checked into a room right next to a bar that featured night live entertainment. When I asked for a quiet room in interior building I was offered either a smaller room (a downgrade) or a room on the top floor (no elevator). Knowing that we were dissatisfied with both choices front desk manager Mr. Pho tried to rectify the situation by offering us complimentary spa service. The spa treatments offered in U Chiang Mai were excellent. So was complimentary breakfast offered daily for all guests. U Chiang Mai offers also free bike rental, outdoor pool and a gym which we didn’t utilize. Overall, if you’re looking for a centrally located, comfortable accommodation in the Old town you will not be disappointed. Just if you value your sleep and come from vastly different time zone make sure you get a room overlooking the courtyard on a first or w second floor to avoid the hike.

The U Chiang Mai was an exceptional property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, they put us right next to the pool where I requested and brought us breakfast in bed anytime of the day we wanted. It was quaint, comfortable and contemporary all in the same time. I would definitely recommend this facility for anyone visiting Chiang Mai!!!

Lovely hotel in the Old City near everything. The spa is very good. The rooftop bar is fun. I highly recommend.

U Chiang Mai was merely 10 minutes taxi ride from the airport and it is located right in the downtown, excellent location. Staff cannot do enough for you and always greet us in such enthusiasm and smiles. Great check-in with choice of bath soap and a cold welcome bael juice. The whole building is so beautiful and the sound of the swimming pool is so soothing. When we entered the room, clean, decor is well thought of, such a lovely spacious room. Breakfast is buffet style with a menu to choose from lots of choices, we were spoilt with choices. Freshly made booster juices are unreal. Staff are super friendly, you can also choose to eat anywhere with no extra cost. Stepping outside, we are in the middle of everything, massage places, food, street food, temple, tour operator. Wow, I will definitely return if I visited Chiang Mai again, we thank you everyone for your attentiveness. We had a lovely stay xx

Very nice boutique hotel right in the centre of old town. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was spacious and clean with a balcony overlooking a good sized pool. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and a la carte. A great choice for a pleasant stay highly recommend.

We spent part 2 of our honeymoon to Thailand in Chiang Mai. We booked the U Chiang Mai based off location and reviews. The service was excellent and the breakfast was tasty. When we arrived on 1/23/23 we were greeted and given a tour of the hotel. Then we were brought up to our room and shown the functionality of the room. There was a gentleman who was there the morning of who greeted us and gave us the tour. I’m not too sure of his name but he was very nice and welcoming. The lady at the front desk took her time and drew a map for us of where to dine and some good spa recommendations. The hotel is centrally located within the historic district. There’s a good amount of places to visit since the hotel is right in the middle of everything. On our departure date, the hotel had prepared a to go breakfast box at 5am for us, it was very thoughtful. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend if you plan on visiting Chiang Mai.

We had a very relaxing stay at U Chiang Mai. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. They gave us good recommendations and arranged activities and day trips on request. The location is incredible - in the heart of old city and within walking distance to several sights. On our last night the Weekend Night Market was right in front of the hotel! The room was very comfy and quiet. We were in the King Suite on the high floor - so we had a great view but surprisingly none of the street noise. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.

Exploring Chiang Mai was really easy because we stayed at the U Chiang Mai. This is located in the city center and is very walkable to many temples nearby. We could walk to any city gate and also local restaurants. Hands down best massage we got in Thailand. The hotel's spa is the best we've been to and would travel to Chiang Mai just for the spa experience again. Room was always cleaned and staff was very accommodating.
