Buffalo Tavern Bed & Breakfast

This was a lovely B&B. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were very accommodating with extra blankets, snacks, drinks, and a fan available. Downtown was close but be aware most shops close at 5.

It was a very pleasant surprise. We were more concerned with getting off the beaten track; this definitely qualifies, but Steve, “Pops”, was the best surprise of all. The rooms and house are everything you expect from a B&B and more; like a claw foot tub in every room. The breakfast was wonderful and the experience was very special for our 48th anniversary. I don’t pay attention to eco friendly stuff, so I rated a 5, because I didn’t want to hurt the rating. I didn’t see anything wasted, which is good enough for me. I’m not one that lightly gives superlatives, but they deserve them. The only negative was difficulty with trusting navigation apps, but they have free WiFi and we wanted to disconnect, so that was a positive for us. Pictures from porch in the afternoon.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! It was so peaceful and relaxing, There were little touches here and there that made you feel welcomed and special. My husband loved all the history surrounding the house and the reading material provided for him. Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Buffalo Tavern B&B. The hosts were friendly and professional. The historic Tavern was inviting and in a lovely tranquil setting.

We love this place and stay here every time we come to town! Steve is the best chef and the breakfast part of the stay is always gourmet!!!

Nice historic home out in rural country but near to W. Jefferson's attractions.

Beautiful property! Spotless. Not a speck of dust in our room! Breakfast was delicious! B&B staff extremely friendly and helpful. Loved it. ❤️

We loved the area of West Jefferson and mountains. Buffalo Tavern was quite historical, found it very interesting!! The place is very charming but I want to give a few suggestions that I feel needs to be addressed. Starting with the porch as we sat out there notice it really needs a good cleaning tables, chairs, rails the front of the house the porch itself didn’t look like it had been swept . Also could use some flowers which could be such a simple fix so could be enjoyable sitting out there looking at the beautiful scenery. The bathrooms need to be dusted especially the moldings and sink! This place is a gem just giving some ideas as I know the owners should take pride.The staff was pleasant, the snacks was a great touch and the breakfast was good except some ppl might not like Califlower waffles and black beans and salsa. Maybe have a choice of two options? Overall it was a pleasant stay. Hope it continues to stay a B&B for century’s to come!!

Breakfast was great and the ease of coming and going was wonderful. The view was amazing and the house was peaceful and full of rest.
