Buffalo Tavern Bed & Breakfast

The room was really amazing great and beautiful view

Beautiful B&B close to West Jefferson. We stayed at the Buffalo Tavern B&B over the July 4th weekend. We were in town to visit family as my step-father was under hospice care and at the end of life. We just needed someplace to escape to and get some much needed sleep for a few hours between running back and forth to the family house to sit by his bedside in his final hours. The owner's Susan and Steve were wonderful and we had everything we needed. Our room was beautifully appointed, they had tea, coffee, soda & snacks provided and it was so quiet and very peaceful at the property which was just what we needed. It was so important to us to be able to get a good night's rest, a home cooked meal for breakfast, and sit on the front porch in the morning and listen to the birds and the sound of the stream and being able to escape the bedside vigil at the family home for a few hours. And due to COVID and us trying to be as careful as possible, we were able to eat breakfast on the table on the front porch to socially distance ourselves from the other guests. We hope we can return again soon under much better circumstances to have a real vacation.

Historical

Breakfast was outstanding, very historic building with lots of interest and charm. Wifi hit and miss suggest multiple access to provide better coverage second floor. Had to wait for checkin but Great stay over all.

We had a very calm and peaceful stay at Buffalo Tavern. Steve cooks an excellent breakfast. I wish I had known ahead of time how far we were from town and the exact time it took to drive there. I know this was early spring, but the yard and porches could have been better maintained. Overall, we had a tranquil stay!

Breakfast was delicious. Quiet, calming, and relaxing environment. Staff was excellent!

The owners were friendly, kind, courteous, very informative with the history of Buffalo Tavern and the breakfast was visually appealing, flavored well, and tasted delicious. The bed was very comfortable
