Ramayana Candidasa Beach Resort

Ramayana Candidasa is a perfect location to be staying, nice rooms, nice maintained garden and green surroundings. Be aware that the location is located remote/distant from other restaurants, meaning you need to grab a taxi to visit some other places. We definitely would visit this hotel a second time

My first hotel in Bali and I was truly satisfied. I felt like I was in paradise. The view to the sea was stunning. Breakfast was excellent. Amazing and friendly staff. I had a blast

A quiet and pleasant ocean front resort

We arrived to a beautiful reception and were greeted very warmly. Oki booked us in a charming gentleman, I asked about a room upgrade as we were staying for my birthday, he showed us a suite we haggled and agreed a great price. The hotel is very beautiful with laid out gardens and small carp ponds scattered throughout the complex. All the staff we dealt with were utterly charming and we could not say anything negative. The restaurant was great good selection of food and drinks. overlooking the sea. We would happily stay here again. Small but very functional pool with plenty of seating options. 5 out of 5 for us. The location is amazing and the facilities and ambiance is great. The rooms felt old and probably needs an upgrade.

We liked poolside, and sea views, the quiet gardens at side of property. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms very clean and regularly serviced. Restaurant looks a bit tired and in need of upgrade. Dinner menu needs more dishes not just huge buffets for two. Cocktails need alcoholic content. But we had a great family stay and overall a fantastic, relaxing holiday with a friendly atmosphere. Thanks

An absolutely beautiful property overlooking the ocean with a great restaurant/bar, an ample pool, and lovely rooms laid out in garden settings. There is no beach here, and that's a long story that has to do with Bali itself, but nice beaches exist in the vicinity. I can't say enough about how lovely the staff were. Truly charming and welcoming. The town/village is also nice (especially around the lotus pond).

It was my 2nd stay at this hotel in eastern Bali and it was nothing short of enchanting. What truly elevated the experience was the staff. Ayu Widiari at the front desk, Suasti, Wahyuni, and Seriastini at the restaurant, left a lasting impression—charming, kind, and effortlessly graceful in their approach. Their thoughtful conversation made every interaction feel like a special occasion.

Stayed for two nights There isn’t a lot to see in candidasa Hotel is quite outdated Had clean sheets Negatives: lizards in room but hotel staff came when called to sort this out. Lots of stairs - we were on top floor and had to carry our suitcases up three flights of stairs and then back down Only one shuttle that leaves at 10 and picks up at 12. No designated waiting area. We waited where we were dropped off for midday pick up and nobody came so we walked back 30 mins which wasn’t too bad Breakfast was nothing special - was expecting big things considering previous reviews but have experienced better breakfasts in other places around Bali. Hotel staff were nice but would not return sadly

We spent a week here using a timeshare exchange. The positives- the staff are wonderful, very friendly and cannot do enough to help, special mention to Sati & Sausti in the restaurant who really made us feel welcome.The menu choices & quality are very good and reasonable prices. The pool area and views around this are beautiful. The resort is not close to anything walking wise and footpaths are very dicey if planning on a walk. The resort does provide a shuttle once a day but they did forget to pick us up to return. The distance from the airport is not 1 1/2 hours drive but more around 3 hours due to the heavy traffic on the roads even on weekends so you should allow for this when planning. Our room was our let down as it was in the hotel and at the back of the resort with only a tiny garden view which was limited due to the height of the plants. We did ask if there was any option to move but were told this was the timeshare room. The ocean facing suites I sure would be better. The pillows were pretty hard and we both had trouble sleeping and our room (maybe because it’s in the hotel part) is quite old. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and patching jobs were pretty basic. Warung Lu Putu restaurant about 5 minutes drive from the resort was lovely and about 1 /2 price of resort. They will pick you up for free as well & Healing Spa in Candidasa will also. Worth checking these out.
